Botanical Name: Picea mariana Plant Part: Needles and Twigs Extraction Method: Steam Origin: Canada Description: Black Spruce is a naturally growing tree in Canada. It is typically found in wet, swampy areas where the wild growing trees can grow up to 15 meters in height. Color: Colorless to Pale yellow Common Uses: Spruce Black has a very pleasant scent, and can be used by aromatherapists in baths to revive tired muscles. Consumers will also see Spruce Black oil frequently used in room sprays, detergents, and in cough and cold preparations. Consistency: Thin Note: Top Strength of Aroma: Medium Blends well with: Black Spruce Essential Oil blends well with Pine, Cedarwood, Galbanum, Benzoin, Lavender and Rosemary. Aromatic Scent: Spruce Black essential oil is one of Canada’s best kept secrets. It is sweeter, and softer than most evergreen oils with a balsamic, resinous odor with green woody notes. Overall, the scent is very clean, fresh and pleasant. History: Black Spruce Needle Essential oil has a long history of use in saunas, steam baths, and as an additive to baths and massage products in spas. A particular strength of this essential oil is it’s ability to target sore muscles and reenergize. Cautions: Black Spruce essential oil should be applied to the skin only in dilution as it has the potential to be a possible skin irritant.

Amazing scent - sweet, crisp, and fresh! I think this oil would even win over folks that don’t care for conifer type scents. This is truly an exceptional essential oil.

A great essential oil and extremely useful for rebuilding the adrenal glands to get renewed energy and feel like a new person. Also very helpful in treating bronchitis and getting our strength back again, an oil that you will use over and over.

spruce black IS ONE OF CANADA'S BEST KEPT SECRETS. it smell like a walk on a forest. it's wonderful in a steam bath, or taking a shower on a gel body wash. spruce is said to put your thoughs and existence in touch with the earth wheh you feel loose and confused. try it!!
