Infused In: Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Standardization: 10.11% dry herb/L of oil

Common Uses: Organic St. John’s Wort is widely claimed to be effective as an antidepressant. It is considered to have antiseptic, antiviral and astringent properties; and is credited with being a pain reliever and excellent for the reduction of swelling and bruising. It can also be used on sunburns to improve recovery times, heal wounds, and relieve skin inflammation.

Guidelines:
Tinctures: 1:10 dried flower prepared with 70% ethanol
Creams & Ointments: Max of 15% St. John’s Wort Oil
Compresses: Tincture diluted 3 - 10 times with water
Poultices: Tincture diluted 3 - 10 times with water

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 9 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Cautions: St. John's Wort may cause photosensitivity. Users should avoid direct sunlight after application. It should also be avoided by women who are pregnant.

I use Organic St. John's Wort Oil for a number of different applications (muscle aches, psoriasis, eczema) and have tried a number of different brands... I mixed a small amount of this and orange 5-fold EO in organic argan oil to use as a body oil post bathing. It leaves me with a super calm yet alert and clear feeling and, of course, my skin is super soft from the argan oil.
