INCI: dl-alpha Tocopherol acetate Description: Vitamin E USP Cosmetic Grade is a golden yellow viscous liquid which will oxidize upon exposure to air and light, resulting in gradual darkening.
Vitamin E plays a crucial role in protecting skin cells and membranes from environmental damage. This protection extends to stopping damage to the skin from UV rays, pollutants and aging. It provides deep miniaturization for the skin whilst allowing the skin to breathe and function naturally, therefore helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. For use in cosmetics, Vitamin E is a synthetic preservative that helps sustain shelf life of products. This particular variety should not be applied directly to the skin, as it is designed specifically for addition to cosmetics. Constituents: dl-α-tocopherol acetate Solubility: Soluble in alcohol and oils. Insoluble in water. Cautions: This vitamin E will darken in the presence of high temperatures and will degrade in the presence of alkali.
