Botanical Name: Juglans regia
Extraction Method: Cold pressed
Description: Walnut Oil is an excellent emollient with moisturizing properties for dry, aged, irritated skin. In aromatherapy circles, Walnut Oil is also credited with being a balancing agent for the nervous system.

Common Uses: Walnut Oil is suitable for aromatherapy and massage therapy. In both, the Walnut oil is typically diluted in another carrier oil. It is also a popular oil in cosmetic manufacturing.

Absorption: Walnut Oil is well absorbed by the skin.
Shelf life: Users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
Cautions: Walnut Oil should be avoided by individuals with nut allergies.

Awesome oil! It's very shear, doesn't leave a sticky coating, doesn't have an oily residue and leaves the skin with a gorgeous healthy shine. I use this as my main oil in my lotions, massage blends and my personal favorite for my hair conditioners (especially on damaged / color treated hair). It gives your hair a nice healthy shine and smooths damaged hair without weighing it down and looking greasy. Highly recommended!

A wonderful oil as long as you don't have allergies to nuts. Walnut oil helps to regenerate, tone & moisturize; dry, aging, rough and sunburned skin. It is the perfect addition to my suntan formulations, dandruff treatments, eczema salves, body butters and facial treatments. New Directions offers a high quality Walnut oil and a fair price.
