Walnut Husk Exfoliant - 70 Mesh
|
Description: Ground Walnut Husk is a very popular grain when making natural exfoliating scrubs. It is finely grounded, making it an ideal additive to face, foot and body scrubs. It polishes away dry and dead skin cells revealing skin that is smooth, soft and refreshed.
Shelf Life: If stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture, walnut husk can last indefinitely.
Recipe:
Peppermint Foot Scrub
In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup walnut husk, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1 tbsp liquid organic soap and 6 drops of peppermint essential oil. Soak your feet first if desired, gently scrub until smooth and wash thoroughly after.

I made a soap with this for my friend who gets skin problems if she doesn't exfoliate strongly. She used to use sugar scrubs, but didn't like how oily the brands she used were, but she says this is perfect for people with oily skin in soaps.

This worked perfectly in my CP soap. It feels great without being too scratchy and adds to the appearance, I think. I used 2 Tbsp in 5 lbs soap.

I tried this product because it was on sale, and I am glad I did. Exfoliates effectively without being too harsh. The husks were all uniform in size and easy to use. This additive is a bit heavy, so if you are using it with MP soaps, I recommend the suspending base, otherwise most of it will sink to the bottom.

This stuff is great! It definitely exfoliates without being too harsh! I feel like a lot of times companies will make "exfoliating" products that are too soft to do anything, but this leaves my skin feeling great afterwards. Plus, its natural! I tried using it in soap to make an exfoliating bar, but I couldn't figure out how to keep it from settling at the bottom of the soap mold while it cooled. If there are any suggestions as to what Im doing wrong I would appreciate it!

This is one of my favorite exfoliant, it's a great size for a body scrub but too big for a face scrub. I like to add about 4-6% of Ground Walnut Husk to my sugar scrub for a scrubbier product.

Decided to try these as they are a natural product. Had been using the aluminum crystals- but read warnings about them. These work as well and do seem gentler. Am very pleased with all the products that I got in my first order. Will be back for more!

If you are wondering where to start or which exfoliant to order this is the one! This is the same type and size of exfoliant you will find in those name brand products!
Very easy to work with, and as much as it does exfoliate it is a very gentle product.
A little goes a very long way too so it is AFFORDABLE!
