Botanical Name: Citrullus lanatus

Description: Watermelon is believed to have originated in Africa. The watermelon fruit, loosely considered a type of melon has a smooth exterior rind (green and yellow) and a juicy, sweet, usually pink, red, or yellow, but sometimes orange, interior flesh. The flesh consists of highly developed placental tissue within the fruit.

I added this to the Green French Clay for a mask. It was tough to blend. I use floral water to make the mask and blended the clay with the water before adding the watermelon. That wasn't smart. Next time I'll add it to the water then add them to the clay. Follow blending instructions. I put in too much at first and it was strong. When the scent is too strong it smells a little like rotting watermelon. But at the right mix it smells great and really adds a nice deep red to clear products...I used this in the face wash gel also.
