Rating: Bought this to color soap naturally. A little goes a long way. Nice color.

Rating: I purchased this after reading the Humble Bee & Me blog where she makes a natural red lipstick with this. So here is the Australian Red Reef Clay she used, with a picture of red clay but it's sadly more of a brown than any other color. Docking 2 stars because the color was not accurate for me and that is the sole reason I bought it, for the red color. Photo is clearly red and what I received was a dark cocoa brown with a hint of red. Functions well in lip balms in micro measurements, but I can't get anything close to a red with this. More like a burnt sienna. I don't make soap so can't comment to its performance there.

Rating: I love this product and so do my customers! It's hard to find and I know NDA has it in stock! This is a rich deep red clay which can be used in cosmetic clay mixed with natural ingredients such as olive oil, fruit pulp, or herbal tea to produce a spa quality facial mask. My customers also use it in making cosmetics such as lip balms, soaps, in lotions, and as a blush or eye shadow. What ever you purchase it for you won't be disappointed. Comes in a sturdy PET type container and is easy to measure and bag up!

Rating: This intense red clay shipped in a sturdy white plastic jar. Be very careful when opening because this one will stain on contact. Used 1/4 tsp in two pounds of CP salt soap for an earthy red-pink. Haven't had the guts to use as a skin mask, but the soap was lovely.

Rating: Very dark clay. A little will go a long way. I add the clay to my water phase and it brings out the most color in my cp soaps. Love that NDA has so many of the clays available.

Rating: I absolutely love this clay! It's incredibly intense and as others have mentioned a little goes a very, very long way. When cut with lighter clays it makes an amazing facial mask and provides amazing color to cp soap with true sticking power. It's also divine in lotions and hair care products at a low percentage. I purchased the 2.2lb container in Dec and I still have tons left and am always excited to use it whenever I get the chance!

Rating: Adds great color to CP soap. Turned out a nice warm red brick color. I've been wearing gloves when handling this product - will very easily stain skin and whatever else it touches.

Rating: Interesting clay and fascinating color... Unfortunately it's not for me unless I'm using in my soap / hair tint lines. A VERY little goes a VERY long way. This clay has a natural oil in it which gives it the appearance of staining the skin. I tested it on my mineral blush makeup and the results were quite interesting to say the least. I had nice rusty color cheeks for 2 days which is great but when I wash my makeup off - it needs to come off.
If using this for a makeup line, might I suggest this for darker tone skin as it would be much more flattering than for someone with pale skin... Unless you're trying to achieve the Dawn of the Dead look, then knock yourself out.
Almost forgot - it DOES however, make an excellent natural looking eye shadow for all skin tones, just takes a bit of blending.
Rating: Amazing product! I use it in my CP soap and my customers are asking for it.... Give a nice exfoliation and a light pink tone to the skin.... This product can stain fabrics....

Rating: I love the other clays, but found this one deadly for use as a face mask. It stains everything! I ruined two face cloths, loads of paper towels and one cloth towel trying to clean up after this clay using it as a face mask. My bathroom floor grout now has a burgundy color to it! Don't like it at all!

Rating: When colouring a product, be sure to use as little as a smidge and work up in quantity until the desired colour is reached. These Australian clays are very dark, and do stain! Even bathtubs!!!
