Rating: Very out of the usual & ordinary of essential oils out there. This is one that I relate to smelling very similar or alike to another essential oil that I own called Galbanum Essential Oil which is a thick essential oil but has the same or close to "strong deeply Green" scent that I would describe as a fresh cut Bell Pepper or fresh Green Chilli & a bit earthy as the deep Green smell starts to wear of a little.
This Katrafay Essential Oil (Wildcrafted) has some great anti inflammatory benefits when diluted with carrier oils & applied to Red inflamed skin. Feels great on my forehead after washing with my daily cleanser which has always been bar soap of many varieties which I sometimes get a mild to moderate soap burn from that feels like a minor Sunburn. This essential oil helps to sooth it with its anti inflammatory properties & also seems to have some astringent properties as well. It would probably work great on a real Sunburn when massaged in as long as it is diluted with carrier oils before application to the Sunburned skin. I only purchased the 1/6 oz of this & am wishing that I had purchased the 16.6 oz of it. Will buy more soon.
A++ for this essential oil from New Directions Aromatics!!

Rating: This one is deeply green. As stated below, it can overpower other scents changing the character of a blend. When you get it right, it is very rewarding.

Rating: Go easy on this, but just a drop or two turns "girly smelling oils" masculine. This one grows on you, if you don't overkill it, kinda like patchouli does.

Rating: I bought this one just to try something new. I'm so happy that I did! This will be great in a green-scented bath salt for achy muscles.

Rating: Like some others, I purchased this EO because I'd never heard of it before. Now it's a standard part of my joint and muscle rubs. The oil adds to the anti-inflammatory properties of the rub while adding a earthy, grounding touch to the fragrance. Very worth while.

Rating: A more "serious" green scent. I will use in fragrance and shower gel.

Rating: This EO is unusual, but great! Katafray is the fresh underwood scent I was looking for.
Just like describe, it as a sharp green, moss scent. This EO please to men and women, and it's perfect to complete a forest scent blend.
This is one of my favorite EO!

Rating: Definitly a fresh green grassy slight cucumber scent

Rating: Very nice oil! I made a perfume blend with this, vetiver, tuberose 3%, and small amounts of several florals (including a good amount of frangipani/plumeria wax). When I let another woman sniff it after I'd been wearing it for about three or four hours, she actually mistook the scent for a fresh sandalwood blend! The lighter florals had evaporated off, but the katrafay and vetiver were still hanging around. So if you're looking for a sandalwood-like aroma with a fresh, green side (not a pure sandalwood, of course, but maybe the wood and leaves together), there's your recipe: 2:1 katrafay+vetiver.
Rating: I ordered this because I never heard of it - and I was intrigued. I love it. It is deep, green and somewhat woodsy and earthy, but it draws you in. It doesn't have a bite - like some earthy oils. It will blend well with so many other oils - I tried it with Clary Sage and it was divine. I'll be back for more.
Rating: Well I'm back yet again as I just ordered more of this WONDERFUL EO!
This TRULY is one of my all time favorite oils for perfume blending!
I have to keep myself from putting it in all my perfumes lol
So far everyone else has loved this oil too.
It is deep and rich, floral yet woodsy. It is also crisp and fresh. No camphor smell at all.
I really suggest you give this one a try!
I made a note to myself today to go ahead and stock up on this one.

Rating: Okay as I breathe in the aroma I get the first scent of woody notes followed by a cucumber scent - yes that's right, cucumber! Woody and then fresh. While this EO has some traditional qualities of a "temple" sort of aroma it is followed by a fresh green scent that is crip and clean. I really REALLY like this!
