Rating: This oil is hard to describe (others have tried, so I won't) and on first impression may leave you wondering how to use it in a blend. What you smell from the bottle is not exactly what you'll get in the synergy. The scent also changes with time. I personally use it in a synergy with several oils including Tangerine, Ylang and Lavender in which Michelia Alba Leaf is only a small percent of the blend and it adds an amazing, complex touch to it. It is one of those oils in a blend where you know there is 'something' special but can't put your finger on what it is. That 'something special' is Michelia Alba.
Rating: Very fresh green scent with sensual undertones. Used as a fixative in cold process soap using citrus essential oils was impressed. Also works in sensual blends. Could be used either way fresh citrus blends or sensual blends. Lovey either way.
Rating: My sister purchased this oil and I really like it! I will be purchasing some in the future. Wonderful smell, quality and price

Rating: I have to agree with the comment about rosewood. This does smell a little like that, but just not so woody and heavy. This is a fairly light scent and would probably bring a nice green note to a mix with florals.

Rating: Uniquely tropically exotic and invigorating scent, Many aromas, top, floral, tea like notes. Light bottom notes of citrus. Wonderful as an fixative to extend other EO or used alone. One of my favorites.

Rating: Reminds me of Rosewood a little bit but less woody. Good base for some perfume on the spicy/citrus side.

Rating: This EO reminds me of pumpernickle bread, which I've never been a big fan of, so I like the aroma much less than I anticipated based on the website's description of it.

Rating: This is a very light oil with balsam and medicinal elements similar to mint and wintergreen. It is a clean and sharp disinfectant, but pleasant smell, with a slight paint-like background.

Rating: Uplifting and strong, definitely exotic, very green, and reminiscent of some kind of herbal tea. Searching for more information on this oil, I was able to find that it is part of the Michelia genus of flowering plants belonging to the Magnolia family, although I do not consider it's fragrance similar to the magnolia.

Rating: Wonderful scent. Smells like sweetened tea with herbal and citrus notes.
By:Jenn, Vancouver, British Columbia Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: Like the previous reviewer stated, this really is almost a "tea-like" essential oil. Like the jasmine tea you find in Chinese restaurants and decent coffee shops. It has an almost absurdly outrageous floral quality at its head and heart, and the mellow, malty aspect of the tea component comes somewhere near the end of the olfactory experience. Very interesting stuff. Experimentation will be needed here...

Rating: Beautiful EO! To me there is a gorgeous "tea" scent amongst the exotic floral.
By:Laura, Winnipeg, Manitoba Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: I just received my oil and what a tantalizing aroma! The scent is very fresh, clean, and isn't reminiscent of any of the commonly used florals. I just wish there was more information about its benefits. I can say this....it uplifted my mood when I smelled it. It is a keeper!!!

Rating: I purchased based on the reviews. I added it to my lotion and I love it. I feel like I'm on a tropical island!
Rating: I love this scent! Based on my experience, people either really like it, or don't like it at all. I really like the combination of sweet floral with fresh green, though I admit it's pretty strong. I blended it with rosewood for a rich, intoxicating perfume (well, *I* like it!).
