Product Rating: 4.7/5 (As per 23 Customer Reviews)
Orange Wax is 100% natural and is a by-product of the food industry. It is extracted from orange peels with the use of mechanical presses and is further processed to produce the wax.
INCI: Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Wax.
Appearance: Dark orange liquid to semi-solid wax with a strong orange oil scent.
Uses: Orange Wax is a favorite additive with candle-makers because of its warm scent and colorant properties.
Cosmetic formulators find natural Orange Wax to have excellent emollient properties. Similar to the chemical structure of lanolin in the same way that jojoba is similar to human sebum, it can provide a barrier property in a cream. Orange Wax also possesses preservative properties, and could be used in salves, balms, lotions, creams, lip balms, shampoos, and conditioners, but in small amounts only as this may stain the skin. Because Orange wax is a by-product of the cold-pressed oil, it will likely have some of the oil's photo-sensitizing properties. Hence, it is best to use Orange wax in products such as night creams, so to avoid exposure to sunlight after application.
Please note that though it contains phytosterols that act as co-emulsifiers for stabilizing formulations, and will thicken an emulsified product, of itself Orange Wax will not emulsify a cream or thicken an oil.
Caution: Too much Orange Wax in any formulation may stain the skin. Orange wax has photo-toxic properties and as such sunlight should be avoided immediately after use or sun blocks should be used.
Note: The appearance and scent of this product may vary from batch to batch due to natural ingredients present in this product.

Rating: As other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a solid wax, but a thick, dark, syrupy liquid. The scent is the closest thing to a peeled orange I've ever smelled! Sweeter and stronger than orange EO but much more natural than a FO. I'm looking forward to using this on my furniture, in CP soap and in not-time creams and lotions. Lovely!
Rating: This smells wonderful and has many uses, and for the price every household should have some!! With its anti microbial properties its great for cleaning and freshening the home. I keep a spray bottle with this heavily diluted and use it all the time!! I love coming home to this smell!! Its also great in my homemade body wash.
Rating: I love this wax. I originally bought it to use in body lotions, but it smells so good I want to polish my furniture with it. The wax was hard when it arrived, so I let it sit in the living room for two days, we had the wood stove going because it was cold outside. The wax melted and I was able to pour it into a jar. I put the wax container back in the kitchen and in the container, the wax hardened back up. In the glass jar it is still on the runny side; so I put that in the refrigerator. I am now searching for formula to harden the wax, so I can use it for a furniture wax. It smells so good, I love the smell.

Rating: I just opened my box and found the orange wax, it is so strong! I came upstairs and waxed my bedroom furniture and now the room smells like fresh oranges, so awesome! I order fr NDA all the time but this is by fast my favorite item! I'm adding it to my candles as well. :-)
Rating: I intended to formulate a furniture wax with this but have been using it without additives and my dark cherry furniture has never looked better.

Rating: This is the truest, strongest orange scent you can find. I have to use very little because it easily becomes overpowering. Very useful as a wax too.

Rating: Deep, delicious and strong. Think of Jojoba wax, rather than a hard wax. It's liquid and it's fabulous, in small amounts. Yes, it is a photosensitizer, but in oily hair conditioners, this is wonderful. I feel conditioned and not gunked up. Did I mention I'm oily? I mean I could power a city if they mined my skin.
This oil is not available anywhere else I can find and why spend tons of hours looking? It's just what an oily complexion and face needs. Just use a little and it will transform your products. I've not tried in CP soaps, but that's coming. Why not? Superfat.

Rating: I just received this wax and it really is incredible. As mentioned, it is a liquid wax and imparts a subtle waxiness to products where firmer waxes could be overpowering. The scent is distinctively orange as is the color so you know exactly what you are getting as soon as you open the lid. The orange is a bit on the sharp side so it works well with warmer notes to balance out the bottom. So far I've used it in cp soap, m&p soap and shampoo with great results and I'm looking forward to trying it with solid perfumes next. You also can't beat the price since very little imparts great scent and color. A real winner here. Now if only NDA could carry other citrus waxes with the same qualities!

Rating: The wax is not what I expected, but I am excited to experiment with it. So far I have used it to condition my furniture and in solid perfumes. It has a fresh, bright smell!

Rating: This doesn't seem like a wax until you notice the elastic, gummy film it forms upon exposure to air. This is its role in the life of oranges, to protect the fruit from drying and other damage. It can also form a fragrant orange-balsam smelling barrier on your skin as you work with it. Orange wax smells warmer and is not as sharp as orange essential oil, with some woody undertones. Take care to really tighten the lid between uses, as the wax finds ways around the threads, messing up the sealing tape around the jar. I can't wait to try small amounts of this wax in bath products and perfumes. Certainly interesting stuff; thanks for selling it!

Rating: This stuff smells GREAT! I don't know what I'm going to use it for yet, but I'll figure something out. I spilled a little of it on the side of the container, and it makes the storage area smell wonderful. Like other reviewers noted, it is syrupy, not thick and wax-like, so I will plan accordingly.

Rating: This wax is the absolute best polish for dark woods. You don't have to mix it with anything at all, just rub it in with a soft cloth and wood shines for weeks. It smells great, too, and leaves no oily residue.

Rating: I blended this syrupy product with beeswax for candles- it makes a lovely, natural orange scent and adds color. You could get the same scent by adding orange essential oil, but the dabbling chemists must always try new and available substances! It blended easily and I used it both for molds and dipped tapers. It is so liquidy, I was concerned about the candles final state, but they are sturdy. I only added a very small amount, which still imparted big scent and significant color. More experimenting to come!
Rating: I add it in my hand milled soaps with peru baslam and my skink smells great!

Rating: Mine also arrived in a completely liquid state-nothing remotely waxy about it. The dark, almost black color is a little daunting but the smell is divine.

Rating: This product says that it is a wax, but it looks more like syrup.
