Powder Silk Description: Silk Powder is produced from high quality silk using sophisticated technology in order to retain it's chemical properties, and is made up of 100% fibroin, which contains 18 kinds of amino acids and trace elements essential to the human body. Silk Powder serves as an ideal protein enricher for high quality cosmetics. It is in the form of a yellow powder of 200 mesh diameter that can be applied to a wide range of cosmetics. Users can expect it to help maintain moisture levels in the skin, prevent dryness, the crystalline structure reflects UV radiation, has anti-bacterial properties, and in hair care products will improve luminance and elastic behavior. Please note silk powder does not dissolve in water or ethanol.
Application: Usage Rate is between 2-5% by weight. Can be used in a wide variety of products such as shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment, body wash, body lotion, cleaner, toner, makeup foundation, lipstick, mascara, color cosmetics.

Love silk powder and its benefits! Would never go back to the mostly corn starch or bismuth filled mineral veils! This a very fine product that goes on nicely! Put it on before and after my mineral foundation for a "sandwich" effect that is great to keep foundation set especially when it is very hot in the summer. Also put it over my night time moisturiser to hold moisture in.

I love this powder! I use it in my mineral makeup formulation, works like a dream! Keeps skin from getting either too dry OR too oily. It has a very slight spicy scent which I really enjoy.

Great packaging, very easy to use. I've purchased others shipped in plastic bags and the jars are a nice feature. This product would be easier to use if usage rates were suggested. This gives a luxurious additive to the ingredient list but long term testing is needed to see any difference in hair products. Lotions and creams had a slightly different feel to them.

It gives a nice touch to my face cream. But there's some black grain in the powder that don't melt like the rest.
