Consistency: Viscous Note: Base Strength of Aroma: Strong Blends well with: Violet Leaf generally blends well with other essential oils and is perfect as a fixative. Specific pairings include Tuberose, oils from the floral family, Clary Sage, Lavender, Benzoin, Cumin, Basil, oils from the citrus family, Sandalwood, Geranium, and oils from the spice family. Aromatic Description: Violet Leaf has a green, earthy, leafy note with a tender floral undertone. ** It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - become lost. History: Both the leaf and flowers have a long tradition of use in herbal medicine. Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritating, but may cause sensitization in some individuals.

Don't be fooled into thinking this oil will have a flowery fragrance! It is, however, a really useful oil in skin care and we love it!

Beautiful, complex, and very, very green. All the things that are so hard to find in perfumery ingredients! This is a lovely absolute that adds a depth to blends. I love it. Very nice to find a supplier that offers quantities smaller than 1 oz for trial purposes and for the higher end oils.
