Beet Liquid Extract – Standardized is a liquid blend of Beet Extract and Propanediol produced through a unique manufacturing technology.

Beet Extract is highly moisturizing due to the presence of natural polysaccharides and sugars that bind to water and boost hydration. It is also rich in other compounds including Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant known to be involved in collagen synthesis and promote the skin's elasticity. Beet Extract is excellent in products that help plump and moisturize the skin for a soft, defined, and more youthful look.

With a plant-based origin, Propanediol is a biodegradable and petrochemical-free solvent that is NPA approved, making it an excellent corn sugar-derived alternative to petroleum-based Glycols for hair- and skincare formulations. It offers benefits and functionalities that include improved emollience, enhanced viscosity, non-irritating properties, exceptional sensory characteristics, clarity, and anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, among many more.

The characteristic color of this botanical extract imbues natural cosmetic formulations with its innate hue. This means that the product colors that were formerly possible to obtain only through the use of artificial and often objectionable constituents can now be achieved through plant-based ingredients that impart not only their beneficial, skin health-enhancing properties but also their individual natural colors. It is strongly recommended that small batch trials be conducted to determine the dosage required to achieve the desired shade imbued by the extract.

The original color of Beet Liquid Extract – Standardized is Dark Red Brown; however, there is a possibility of this color changing, depending on the formulation to which it is added.

Recommended Usage Level: 1-3% in skincare products.

What is Beetroot Botanical Liquid Extract good for? 

Beetroot Extract is rich in Vitamins A, C, and K. Vitamin A is believed to promote the skin’s natural regeneration process, renewing skin cells, and revealing a healthy, youthful looking complexion. Beetroot’s high Vitamin C content is also beneficial for brightening the skin and protecting it from environmental stressors including harmful UV rays. When used topically, ingredients containing Vitamin K are best suited to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.  

How is Beetroot Botanical Liquid Extract used? 

Beetroot Extract can be used the same was as other botanical liquid extracts in personal care formulations. This includes soaps, shampoos, lotions, creams, face washes, and serums. Beetroot Extract’s naturally deep red to brown tint can add a nice wash of color when added to lip balm formulations.
