Rating: I used this fragrance to make a foaming body scrub and body butter and it is superb. Everyone seems to love this scent and now I need to purchase a larger size because the requests keep coming.
Rating: This is a foreground floral scent. Steadied nice and white in my soy wax melts.. I will update a new review as soon as I get a chance to make CP soap with it as well. I'll be ordering this again.

Rating: Gardenias were in my hair when I was married....sadly this did not remind me of gardenia. HOWEVER if you like a very nice floral scent I would say this makes a nice CP soap that smells of flowers.

Rating: Not quite as heady and intoxicating as real gardenia, but so pretty it doesn't matter. A floral-lovers' floral; not a grandma floral. I mixed it with a green spa scent and smells even better. In CP soap it moved slowly enough when taking all precautions (lower temp, more water), but I wouldn't use it for complex swirls.

Rating: I use NDA's Fragrance oils as perfume substitutes, since most 'real' perfumes can break anywhere from $30-100 easily. Just a drop on the wrists and behind the ears and I'm set.
I love this; Gardenia is a regal, elegant, and sensual scent. We have a Gardenia bush in the front yard, this oil smells *just* like it. Be warned however, this is SUPER potent; a drop will be MORE than enough for direct skin use.
Rating: I've made several batches of CP soap with this lovely FO. It works really well and the scent is lovely in the soap. I've also used it in my liquid soap and lotions and it works well in those products. The scent can be a bit overpowering so it needs to be used with care. But it's a really nice fragrance and the price is hard to beat.
Rating: People loved this scent in my Gardenia bath bombs. :)

Rating: Very nice in my soaps and I sometimes like to blend this one with Rose Garden, Lavender, Lily of the Valley and even a hint of Jasmine FO. Blending scents is so much fun! The melt and pour soap bases are so easy to use too. You can never go wrong. Way to go New Directions! I'm hooked on your soap for good.

Rating: Also disappointed in this one. It smells like soap to me, and it didn't do well in a blend of oils that I made. I have a gardenia enfleurage from another supplier that smells so incredibly heavenly in comparison. If you like a soapy scent, then you might like this, but this doesn't smell like any actual gardenia I've ever smelled.

Rating: I agree with the other reviewer that said they were disappointed in this scent. I used Chanel Gardenia as my signature fragrance for years, absolutely love most other gardenia scents. This smells nothing like any gardenia I've ever encountered. It is powdery and strongly perfumy with a heavy musk, I detest musky scents, with my asthma it makes me feel as if I can't breathe. Was very disappointed in this scent, I have no idea what I'll do with it. Perhaps try and combine it with something else or just throw it out.

Rating: I just love this scent, I used in my m&p soaps and it turned out just right, not to strong, just perfect. Love it..

Rating: I bought this scent for my wife. She loves Gardenia. We have a tree in our house that she treats like her own pet. All I could say about this smell is OMG. This smells better than the real flowers in our house. It is an amazing gardenia smell and true. There is no chemical smell at all. WOW. Buy this one guys.

Rating: I adore the heady, floral aroma of gardenia, and was really looking forward to this one--I'm a big fan of NDA. But this oil doesn't smell a thing like gardenia. It's powdery, extremely perfumey, and soapy. A major disappointment, among so many other wins.

By:Lisa, Wpg, Manitoba Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: Another great scent for cp soap. The aroma does not dissipate while the soap is curing, can't wait to try it in my liquid soap too.
By:Trish, Roseisle, Manitoba Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: I'd never smelt Gardenia before so had no idea what to expect...very very nice, soft, and floral without being too heady or medicinal like Lavender.
By:Karina, Richmond Hill, New York Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 14-Sep-2007
Rating: Flowery and soft, a little powdery at the end, but that's a good thing.

Rating: Funny, I bought this fragrant oil and the smell (although it is well done) did not please to me... but it has been a great hit in my last public soap sale. No one single soap was remainging. People love it !
