Our Clarifying Toner was designed to do more than provide firmer skin. The formulation includes an abundance of natural ingredients chosen to target today’s most pervasive skin conditions and give you the kind of complexion you've always wanted. We've started from a base of pure Witch Hazel and combined it with four helpful essential oils and two highly beneficial botanical extracts to create a product that accomplishes an immediate effect, no matter what your skin type.
Ingredients: Witch Hazel - Arguably the world’s best-loved natural toner. It’s a great boost for tired looking skin and soothing irritations. Essential Oil Blend - Tea Tree Oil, Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Oil - All expertly blended to invigorate, balance, tighten and cleanse the skin. Cucumber Peel Extract - The gentlest of astringents, it is also rich in vitamins. Honeysuckle Flower Extract - A natural active to leave your complexion soft and touchable.

Rating: Though it smells lovely this product is very deceptive! I would not have purchased this had I known ALL the ingredients!
I was so excited to receive this product! After reading of the ingredient list on the main description… Everything looked to be 100% natural and pure... It’s NOT!
I was VERY UPSET when it arrived and the printed ingredients on the bottle listed polysorbate 20. It is considered a carcinogen due to the fact that it is treated with 20 parts of ethylene oxide... I was only able to find that on the website by opening the documents tab and opening the ingredients PDF.
The fact that it was the only ingredient left of the main ingredients page makes me feel like this was a deceptive tactic.
Be better than that!!

Due to changes in the manufacturing of Polysorbate 20, there has been a considerable decrease in the levels of the contaminant 1,4-dioxane in Polysorbates. According to The Cosmetics Ingredient Review expert panel, Polysorbate 20 is safe for use in cosmetic formulations. Also, it is now approved by the EC for use in cosmetics in Europe, and the FDA has approved its use for cosmetics in the USA. We hope this will help you with future purchases, and we look forward to serving you in the future.
Rating: Great Toner. The only set back is the scent. But within a day I could see my blemishes reduce in size and redness. Highly recommended for oily blemish prone skin! :)

Rating: This is a great toner! I love that it does not contain alcohol and does not dry out my skin. I have very oily skin and this has helped a lot.
Rating: Me again - I have been using this toner for six months now - in tropical and desert climates - after having faithfully used Clinique Clarifying Lotion #2 for years and years. The benefit of the Clinique product was to cleanse away any lingering makeup after washing and to clear away dead skin cells. Now - after using this particular toner from New Directions - I can positively recommend this toner. One of the plusses is that there is not alcohol component in the toner - one of the basics of the Clinique product - so there is no "parched" effect feeling on my face after use.
So now - being a faithful user of products that deliver - I've now become the "true blue" user of this toner on my mature facial skin. Cleansing, Stimulating and Gentle! Amazing!

Rating: Love it!! I a 50+ and still have mild acne. This is not harsh and won't driy out my skin, and it keeps the oil under control.

Rating: LOVE this toner! I have mild acne and this toner has completely helped my skin, I have tried a thousand products for my face and using this after a mild cleanser has completely changed my skin. It has a slightly medicinal odor but not in an offensive way. I would highly recommend this product.
Rating: I purchased this along with the Gentle Facewash and I love it! It's non-drying, gentle formula feels great on the skin - this is the only toner I'll use.

Rating: This is another product that I really enjoy, it brings softness to my skin without feeling tight and dry. This product has a very strong aroma to it, however this product is very good and worth using even though it has a very strong aroma to it.
