I like the smell of this catnip oil. It's sweet and minty and a little sharp. The down side is that my cats don't like it nearly as much as I do, which was a disappointment to me. But I definitely like the idea that it can be used to repel insects, and men seem to like the scent.

I find that the intended application as an insect repellent is ineffective. Ants in northern Arizona march right across the area(s) applied and mosquitoes land on the treated skin withing minutes. I would haven given it a rating of only one star, but I received a most gracious reply to my email to NDA explaining my results. The reply to my email included an offer for me to return the catnip essential oil I had purchased. Thus my rating of two stars.

I bought this to make bug repellent. Turns out that the summer hasn't been very buggy, so it's hard to say if it's working. The smell is great though. It's herbal and resinous with a hint of rose.

I have suggested to people to use this in their shower gels and lotions as well as a spray before camping, going outdoors or on vacation, they all come back with incredible stories of how they did not get bit once. the bugs come around but DO NOT BITE. I also noticed that if soimeone gets bit by a mosquito and you put this oil on, it takes away the itch and is no longer swollen the following day. A great product!

Thank You NDA! I have been using this oil for a number of years for my bug repel lotion and it does really WORK. Price seem about the same as I have paid before. Thanks again
