Description: Catnip, also known as Cat Mint, is a member of the Mint family of aromatic herbs. It is a common aromatic herb of the high deserts of North America, and was naturalized in Canada from its indigenous roots in Northern Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean.
Color: Colorless to pale yellow.
Common Uses: Catnip oil is renowned for its anti-bug properties. Research has shown that it may be better and safer to use than DEET. It is reputed to have antispasmodic, carminative, diaphoretic, emenagogue, nervine, stomachic, stimulant, astringent and sedative properties. Rubbing catnip oil on the forehead is sometimes employed as a means of easing the pain of a headache. Poultices including catnip oil and leaves are also sometimes used to help with chest congestion. A cloth soaked with catnip oil is said to help slow and even reverse fever when wrapped around the forehead and cheeks.
Suggested usage in mosquito and bug blends is 1% to 3%.

Aromatic Scent: The aroma of the essential oil is very strong reminiscent of citronella.
History: Catnip has been used in herbal remedies on humans since at least the 15th century. In fact, catnip tea was the most commonly consumed herbal beverage in Europe prior to the importation of teas from the orient.
Cautions: Avoid use if pregnant.

Thank You NDA! I have been using this oil for a number of years for my bug repel lotion and it does
really WORK. Price seem about the same as I have paid before. Thanks again
