Coffee Essential Oil
|

Botanical Name: Coffea arabica Plant Part: Bean Extraction Method: Origin: Brazil Description: The earliest cultivated species of coffee tree and still the most widely grown. It produces approximately 70% of the world's coffee, and is dramatically superior in cup quality to the other principal commercial coffee species, Coffea canephora or Robusta. All fine, specialty, and fancy coffees come from Coffea arabica trees. Color: Dark Brown Common Uses: Coffee has a multitude of possible uses. Amongst these: Coffee can be burned as a room deodorizer; coffee is an excellent anti-oxidant; been used to combat depression; for respiratory issues; stings; fever; and general nausea. Blends well with: Coffee Essential Oil is best appreciated when used independently. Consistency: Medium to Thick Note: Medium to Base Strength of Aroma: Medium to Strong Aromatic Scent: Coffee Essential Oil smells just like a fresh brewed pot of coffee. It is both warming and invigorating. History: The history surrounding coffee is vast, and exceeds the space given this section. However, there remain a few particularly interesting pieces of information. An Islamic monk was vexed by his inability to stay awake during his prayers. One day he saw a goat shepherd dancing with his goats and was told a specific bean caused the happiness. Convinced that Mohammed had sent him this herb as a gift to keep him awake, the monastery was thereafter called the home of the Wakeful Monks, as they would drink coffee as they prayed. (A similar legend exists in China regarding tea.) African warriors would mix mashed coffee berries with animal fat, roll them into balls, and eat them before battle. Brazil is the world's largest producer of coffee. All of Latin America's coffee industry emerged from one tree in a Dutch botanical garden. The name Coffee comes from Caffa, an Abyssinian province. Cautions: Coffee essential Oil should be avoided during pregnancy. It may also cause heart palpitations in some individuals.

The first time I smelled this oil I thought of a relaxing time sitting in a little French Restaurant by the seashore.
I know a body salt scrub is going to be so uplifting in the morning as I use this oil--I'll probably make it a part of my every morning routine! AA+++ Great Smell!!!!

From the first moment I smelled the luscious Coffee aroma of this oil, I had wild imaginings of lip balms, soaps and body butters... now all three have manifested & they are even better than I could have imagined... The Shea Souffle Latte Body Butter is absolutely a turn-on if you love that first cuppa in the morning like I do! And the Luscious Latte lip balm is bound to be a big seller with the all natural coffee pick me up and tamanu added! This is the best product! Yay for New Directions! yay!

I love this EO - so nice to have something like this to order from NDA. While it is a lovely coffee aroma I also get a bit of a malty undertone.
Worth the price!

Just received my first order and wow, what an incridible EO. This will get much use. I recently gave up caffeine and this actually helps in reducing the cravings, just by inhaling it. Very good quality.

Coffee essential oil doesn't get more true than this. If you like coffee, this is for you. In fact, just smelling makes me want some coffee. In the polo black fragrance (ralph lauren) coffee is mixed with mango. You don't have to smell it to know it's delightful. Note: mango is a synthetic scent. You get what you pay for with this one.

We love this essential oil! We had ordered a coffee butter (coffee oil in hydrogenated soybean oil) from another supplier a while ago and were very unhappy with the strong "black coffee" scent, but we decided to give NDA's coffee eo a chance... we are VERY pleased with it. It has a rich, full-bodied... like a mellow Colombian coffee smell. Just a hint of sweet. I can't wait to try this in a coffee scrub and in a lip balm. I know my customers will go crazy for it. I definitely recommend this eo!

I also love this coffee essential oil. Smells even better than the real thing. Super rich and full bodied. I used it in my bath salts & body scrubs class. It's great in a all-natural coffee sugar scrub with some ground coffee to add to the look and exfoliation. Caffeinated bath/body products are all the buzz right now (pun intended!). I would definitely buy this product again and highlyl recommend it!

Wonderful oil, I use this to "clear the palatte" so to speak when dealing with many different essential oils. (You can also use fresh ground beans for the same effect), but COFFEE ABSOLUTEor Coffea arabica is FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. It's great to use with Balms, Candles, Ointments, Lip Balms, Skin Cream, and Soaps. Good quality.
