I found the scent to be rich, earthy, but also sweet. Very interesting combination.

To me Davana in its concentrated form smell like Rum liquer. At first I did not favor it at all, but it is starting to grow on me. I bought it primarily for its anti-parasitic properties, which i have no proff of it is working.

Very sweet and fruity a bit of a cherry essence, yet the undertones are peppery and spicy! I find this one mezmerizing! You really have to let this one settle into your senses as it changes and just keeps surprising me!

New Directions is correct is saying it is a difficult oil to describe, as each person I've tried it with has experienced a different description. Definitely unique to each person. I use it in my sensual blends and one of my anxiety relief blends. Reasonably priced for such a unique oil. Recommeded for the aromatherapist looking for something different.
