Description: Galbanum is a small plant with the oil coming from the resin in the stems and roots.
Color: Colorless to a pale olive yellow viscous liquid.
Common Uses: Galbanum Essential Oil is said to have anti-spasmodic property and considered an intermediate between Ammoniac and Asafoetida for relieving air passages. It is especially good for some forms of hysteria and can be used externally as a poultice for inflammatory swellings.

Aromatic Scent: Galbanum Essential Oil possesses an intensely green, fresh leafy odor with a dry woody back-note of balsamic, bark- like character.
History: Galbanum was used by ancient civilizations as an incense. In Egypt, Galbanum was used along with Frankincense and Myrrh in baths, and in making perfume oils and cosmetics.
Cautions: Galbanum Essential Oil is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing. Use well-diluted and avoid during pregnancy.

Mystic, green and incredibly intense, with notes of celery, parsley, incense, gasoline (seriously!) and black pepper; like a good chow mein, really! That sounds a little unpleasant, but this really does do remarkable things to the head and heart notes of heavier perfumes and is also an absolutely AMAZING oil for mature skins and those in need of gentler essential oils for sensitve skin care. I love this stuff!

This Galbanum has a wonderful scent. Intensely green, resinous, and spicy. Very grounding, another oil that is great for meditation blends. Great for skin problems, respiratory complaints, and adding uniqueness to perfumes.

Although a strong scent, it is very grounding. I would not want to be without this oil. it is very calming. Use with a carrier oil for a relaxing massage or on the bottom of the feet before bedtime for a full night sleep.

I used this under an acne treatment recommendation. Definitely helps to heal, but hasn't helped much in the preventative treatment of. And maybe I'm too new to this to consider the aroma, but no one in my home that has gotten a whiff is thrilled with it. It's very strong to us and I just can't seem to get used to it.

This Galbanum (Ferula galbnifelua) is totally different in composition to the dramatically exotic one I normally use from Iran (ferula gummosa). Although is smells similar, when put on the skin, it changes too much for me to be able to use it in my Fragrance instead of the Iranian one. However, I would use it when I compound another Perfume! I would like to see the Galbanum from Iran (Ferula gummosa), included in the list because it is far superior in quality than this one.

This is a very complex, interesting oil. It is very different in the bottle, than in the end product. I used a drop in massage oil and it adds a crisp note for me, that is almost inperceptable. Thank you for offering the 1/6 oz size so everyone can try this very unique oil.
