The smell was surprising to me when I read it was used in perfumery. It's more camphorous than I expected, and the overall scent is strange. I could imagine it as a nice base note in scent blends.

Very pleased I decided to order this oil.
One of my new favorites!
Out of the thirty some oils I ordered this time around this is number 3 out of my top five picks!
At first spicy and woodsy but then the undertone of a camphorous aroma comes through.
Very different.

I mix the hydachiem into a massage blend for my husband. Its anti inflammatory qualities are supreme.
