Botanical Name: Simmondsia chinensis

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Jojoba Clear is a favorite carrier oil. In actuality, it is a liquid wax. It closely resembles the sebum of the skin, and is rich in vitamin E. This promotes a glowing complexion. The Clear variety of Jojoba has been put through a charcoal filter removing the color and odor. This ensures the benefits in manufacturing without the risk of odor or product decolorization. It is also important to note that Jojoba may go cloudy in cool temperatures. It will return to its clear state with warming. Purchases of entire drums can also expect some clouding near the end of the drum. This is natural as Phospholipids (natural components of most vegetable oils) hydrate and precipitate out of suspension. The sediment is actually extremely high in beneficial vitamin E and will only create problems if the oil is heated to extreme temperatures where they will darken and precipitate out of suspension. Any sediment can be decanted out wherever practical.

Color: Colorless liquid.

Aromatic Description: Jojoba Clear Carrier Oil has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.

Common Uses: Jojoba Clear Carrier Oil can be added to other carrier oils in order to extend shelf lives, and has become a common oil in the aromatherapy industries because of it's excellent skin care properties. The Clear variety is also the Jojoba of choice in cosmetic manufacturing and soap making. Massage therapists may use small amounts in their carrier oil blends, but as it will clog pores, its application is limited.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Jojoba Clear creates a barrier but will leave a satiny finish.

Shelf Life: Jojoba Clear has 2 years of shelf life for all intents and purposes. It may go cloudy in cool conditions but will return to its natural state once warmed.

This is a really nice oil! It absorbs into the skin really nicely and leaves it feeling very soft. So far I've only used it to make perfume oils but I can't wait to try it with other stuff!

When I first started researching oils to use for all my oil blends, I decided Jojoba was a must-have. I use it in varing amounts in my 9-oil body/massage blend, my facial oil blend, my baby oil blend, my salt scrubs, and my bee balm bars and creams. It's perfect for all skin types--doesn't make oily skin oilier or exacerbate acne-prone skin. It works great on my hair to keep it healthy-looking and add a bit more shine. Wouldn't be without it. And by the way, I have ordered oils from other suppliers, but NDA has the best oils by far.

Hello, I am the owner of an essential oil company. I blend oils so my supplier has to have top grade single oils to remain my supplier. After many months of trial an error, I now do all my business with New Directions, US. The clear Jojoba oil is by far the best I have found as a carrier oil for blended essential oils. The shelf life is expanded and even after a year, the essential oils still have a good olfactory experience rather than smelling like the carrier oil. A few drops of clear white Jojoba in an atomizer spray mist helps to preserve the essential oils used without using chemical perservatives, a nice discovery. Great product, excellent value. I have used it straight as a hair treatment, cuticle treatment, facial mosturiser (great even for combo or oily skin), and used it as a base oil in various conconctions (hair creams, body lotions, lip balms) with great success.

I love the Jojoba clear. I too ordered a smaller bottle of it to try. Not to get too personal, buto I just had a baby on the 8th of Jan, and one of my friends told me to use Jojoba oil because I am breast feeding and those areas are sore, the Jojoba oil cleared the sorness up in one day so now that is all I use before and after I breastfeed or express pump milk, love it and I am ordering a bigger bottle today. I also use it after the shower, I blend it with other oils and I use it in my hair, awsome product.

Fantastic price for an outstanding product. Excellent as a massage oil or facial cream. Heat a couple of tablespoons and rub in to hair and leave for a couple of hours before shampooing out for a great hair treatment.
