Description: Lime is a small evergreen tree that produces a small, bitter fruit very similar to Lemon. The fruits themselves are green in color with a green fleshy interior.

Color: Pale yellow to yellowish green liquid.

Common Uses: Lime Essential Oil has a crisp, refreshing citrus scent that has been used by aromatherapists for its uplifting and revitalizing properties. It can also act as an astringent on skin where it is reputed to help clear oily skin.

Aromatic Scent: Lime Essential Oil has a crisp, sweet, fresh smell characteristic of citrus products.

History: Lime has been used historically to prevent sailors long at sea from developing scurvy.

Cautions: Lime Essential Oil is considered phototoxic. Users should avoid direct sunlight after application. Avoid use during pregnancy.

I love this one! It's VERY strong, though, and when I mixed 1 drop in with a combination of about 30 drops of other EOs, this one overpowered the rest BY FAR! So I'd recommend diluting it if you don't want your product to smell too limey. The scent is very different from lemon or orange or grapefruit. I find it much stronger, sharper, and more masculine.

Definitely a must have in every house. It is an excellent antiseptic oil and therefore I use it in my all shower gels, shampoos and every liquid cleaning products. Also it has a very pleasant citrus smell when used in aromatherapy and it blends well with almost every EO. It is well known to clarify and renew your spirit (I like lime better than lemon). I was expecting "citrus" and got more of a "candy lime" scent. It's not a bad one, but it's certainly not what I was expecting. The kids love it because it smells just like green lime hard candy. Nice, but not "grown up".

I mix this oil in a spray bottle with patchouli, tee tree, and of course water. I use it as a cleaner for my kitchen, bathroom, etc. I also spray my plants with the mixture and they love it too! So much better than any "air freshener" out there.

I use this oil in many of my blends as it has all the properties of Lemon Oil but is more suitable for use with children. This oil is probably phototoxic. Use for abscesses, acne, asthma, boils, bronchitis, colds, cuts, fever, infections, insect bites, mouth ulcers, nosebleeds, spots, throat infections, warts. Just what I expected, lovely scent and excellent price!
