Our Lip Balm Base is specially formulated to quench thirsty lips. This hydrating formula made with beeswax, nourishes the lips with vitamin and nutrient rich oils while adding a transparent, soft shine to lips. This base has been specifically formulated to be extremely robust. Essential Oils, fragrant oils, botanical extracts and various raw materials can be added in order to customize each product.

Usage: We recommend that no more than 0.5% of any essential oil be added to a Liter our cosmetic bases. Exceeding this amount may destabilize bonds between the ingredients. Over time this may cause our bases to lose some of their luxurious properties including viscosity, smooth feel and rate of absorption.

Drum Orders:
• Price is FOB from our warehouse. UPS does not ship drums so shipping charges will be calculated in house with another courier or customers can request their preferred courier.
• Price includes bulk open head drum with plastic liner.
• A lead time of 3 weeks is needed in order to fill a drum order.
• A non-refundable 50% deposit is required.
• Special orders for drums cannot be returned. We encourage our customers to try the smaller sizes before placing a special order for a drum. Our return policy is applicable to regular orders only.

I used it in equal parts with Shea Butter (also from NDA...where else?!) + EOs - what a lovely combo! It worked well to store in a small lip balm pot/tin. Wish I'd tried it sooner what with all those years of using petroleum jelly.......never again!

O...M...G! This lip balm is da BOMB! lol! Is a little soft for tubes but just add 2g of white beeswax pellets/50g base and it's perfect! The beeswax doesn't make much of a difference to the already-perfect formula- it just stiffens it up a bit. Thanx, NDA!....again.

Can you say, heavenly??? I love this balm, it is not waxy feeling, is a wonderful moisturizer on your lips. I cannot believe the quanity of how many tubes one can make with the 2.2 lbs. I used the lip balm flavor that NDA sells and it takes it remarkably well. Very easy to work and would not hesitate to purchase another 2.2 lbs when I need it.

I just received a lip balm made with this base and it is by far the best lip balm I've ever tried. And coming from a true lip balm junkie that's saying something! If you want to really WOW your customers or you simply want to make lip balm for yourself this is the one to go with. It glides on very smooth and lasts for hours, even through eating and drinking, yet it doesn't feel heavy or greasy like many I've tried.

I really like using this product. It goes on very smoothly, softens for a long time, and is not sticky or gooey. What I am struggling with is finding a balance between adding enough flavor without making it too soft. I also haven't found a good container for it in the price range I was looking for from ND. I bought some from another bottle supplier, but when you consider the cost of shipping it is much easier for me to get everything from ND. I tried a couple of boston glass jars but with them bowing up on the bottom and the mouth of the jar coming in a bit the tiny ones weren't the right fit.

I was wanting a more natural lip balm for my customers, I think I finally found it! I used zinc oxide in this base to make a sun protecting lip balm which first was really mushy. Once I let the tube sit overnight though, it was PERFECTLY SOLID in the morning!!!! I love this base because it is not as soft, it holds up firmer than most bases! What a GREAT product NDA!

The BEST lip balm! Very hydrating, imparts a subtle sheen, & when wearing it, it makes lips feel incredibly smooth/slippery (not even the least bit sticky!). I'm pleased to say my customers are just as thrilled with the product as I am! Works beautifully with the Tangerine 5-Fold essential oil.

I use is as a natural product or zip it up with flavours and scents, my customers love the chocolate covered strawberry I developed! Kids love the cotton candy and bubblegum ones. This is an excellent lip balm base. It moisturizes the lips better than any other big name lip balms, which is great for the winter time. The texture/consistency is probably thicker and softer than other lip balms; it feels like a cross between a cream and a lip balm. There is no scent, but it works great with fragrance oils (and maybe eos, but have not tried it yet). I added just a little bit of mango fragrance oil, and some pink mica to the base. My daughter is the lip balm maker in our house and she loves working with this base. It is thick so works well in filling the tub like balm containers. She adds a light flavor, some mica colorant in some, and some she leaves the natural color, and essential oils such as peppermint for that soothing feel. So easy to use and fun to try new creations! If you have a tween or teen who wants to get started in making product this is a great place to start!
