Cautions: Eucalyptus should be used in dilution, and avoided during pregnancy.

Eucalyptus oil differences

Eucalyptus Blue Mallee The Blue Mallee specie has the highest antiseptic cineol content and therefore is one of the strongest antiseptics among the Eucalyptus. It can also be used to combat the effects of colds and flu. Has a fresh, camphorous aroma with a hint of peppermint.
Eucalyptus Globulus Eucalyptus Globulus is fantastic on skin ailments (Burns, blisters, wounds, insect bites, lice, and skin infections), as well as to combat the effects of colds and the flu. There is also a history of Eucalyptus essential oil being applied to sore muscles and joints.
Eucalyptus Peppermint Eucalyptus Peppermint, commonly known as “broad-leaved Peppermint”, is reputed to have excellent properties as an anti viral, antiseptic, expectorant and as a cleansing and cooling agent. With a peppermint-like aroma, it is considered refreshing and up-lifting. The leaves are rich in piperitone but low in eucalyptol, which can be a skin irritant for some.
Eucalyptus Radiata Eucalyptus Radiata is commonly known as “narrow-leaved Peppermint” and contains a high percentage of cineol, also known as eucalyptol, popularly used to relieve colds and congestion. Eucalyptus Radiata is preferred over Eucalyptus Globulus because it is less harsh, more pleasant to inhale and less likely to irritate the skin. It can also be used on sore muscles and joints and also as an antiseptic. It has a crisp, clean, camphorous aroma with back notes of citrus/floral.
Eucalyptus Staigeriana Eucalyptus Staigeriana, also known as Lemon Iron Bark or Lemon-Scented Ironbark, has a lemon-scented aroma and can be used as anti viral, antiseptic, expectorant, anti inflammatory and a digestive stimulant. It is not cineol-rich, so can be used people with sensitive skin.

A common tick was attached to my stomach. On a Q-tip put Eucalytus Globug and rubbed it wher the tick was and it was not five seconds until the tick backed out and headed for somewhere else, but I caught it and ended it's life. Once more your oils came through.

Great smell, classic Eucalyptus. I have used this for room freshening, in a chest and foot rub blend for sick children, and in an antibacterial hand lotion.

This EO is the strongest most true to scent eucalyptus I have come across and the price is the best out there. I have many essential oils from New Directions and am very happy with them all. They are very high quality, pure and fresh and you will not find a better deal on the internet. Their customer service is also the best. I will continue to do business with them, as well as direct all my friends to them. Finally, a great store with wonderful products you can trust.

I love this EO. It blends absolutely nice with lime and rosemary. I use to put few drops of each in my humidifier diffuser especially during winter. It is effective against flu and colds and smells so fresh and fruity. I would recommend it to everyone.

During my last bout of tonsillitis, I put a bit of this oil in a sink of hot water, then put a towel over my head and breathed in the vapors. It was the only effective pain management I could find; WAY better than all that over-the-counter stuff!

Using Eucalyptus in my massage business I'm never afraid of picking up a bug someone may have. I had a grand daughter spent the night with me, during the night she developed a bad earache, not having anything for her other than eucalyptus oit and pepermint I applied it to from her ear down the side of her neck and on her throat & the bottom of her feet. The next morning I asked how her ears felt she said good & I like the smell you put on me. I can't imagine not having the oils with me at all times. as a massage therapist that comes in hand.

I'm very happy with this oil. It smells awesome with lavender in a cleaner I made. Then I put it in a bubble bath to soothe my muscles after all that cleaning. I almost can't wait for cold season so I can soothe that, too.

I have used this oil in my soap and in bath salts. All I get are good comments, every one loves it. My sister leaves the salt open beside her bedside when she has a cold and says it works miracles. I even put some directly in my daughters huidifier and it helpes her breath better when she has a cold. Really great stuff, love it!

I use this oil several times a week in steam inhalations, diffusers, and added to a bit of sweet almond oil for massage. It feels so good when you are sick, but even when you're not, it is refreshing and part of my EO routine. Love it!

This Eucalyptus works great. My husband had an awful cold last winter and nothing otc worked. So I finally talked him into something natural - a few drops of Eucalyptus in some boiling water each night before he went to bed. He could sleep and got better in just a couple of days!

This is a must have in your EO kit. It doesn't take an experienced sniffer to know that this is a high quality oil. There are so many uses around the home as well as medicinally that I recommended getting a lot especially since they say that Eucalyptus is one of the few oils that actually improves with time.

This eukalyptus is very enjoyable and it adds a unique scent to natural perfumes. It is somewhat medicinal, slightly sweet (slightly), and 'sharp.' Great quality for the price. Don't expect anything exotic if you've never smelt eukalyptus. This is a well extracted oil.

Another one of the 'essential' essentials. If you're just starting out or are an aromatherapist guru, eucalyptus is one of the must have's of them all. There are many many types of eucalyptus, this being the most widely used. This essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin. All eucalyptus oils are toxic if taken internally. Do not drink this oil. Uses include: for treatment of abscesses, aches and pains, asthma, bronchitis, burns, blisters, catarrh, chicken pox, colds, coughs, cuts, cystitis, debility, dust mites, epidemics, 'flu, headaches, herpes, infections, insect bites, insect repellent, laundry, leucorrhoea, lice, measles, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, neuralgia, rheumatoid arthritis, sinusitis, skin infections, sprains, throat infections, wounds. The Grey Gum (radiata), Gully Gum (smithii) and the Blue Mallee (polybractea) have very similar properties but tend to have a sweeter aroma.. (Also known as Fever Tree, Gum Tree, Southern Blue Gum, Stringy Bark, Tasmanian Blue Gum.) This is such a useful oil, and this one is definitely high quality.
