Last Ember Fragrance Oil

DRY. WARM. FADING.

NEW
$14.99

The final glow, just before it disappears.

Last Ember captures smoke after it has softened: dry, diffused and almost spent. Tobacco leaf and warm spice give it body, while tonka and pale woods hold the heat without sweetness, creating a warmth that reads as the end of something rather than the start.

THE SCENT STORY - LAST EMBER

Last Ember is the collection at its driest.

Most smoke accords announce themselves. This one has already happened.

The opening carries a faint sweetness from dried fruit and spice, the kind that clings to fabric rather than fills a room, and it fades almost as soon as it arrives. What remains is tobacco leaf and a cocoa-dry warmth, held together by tonka that stays resinous rather than turning to vanilla.

The effect is heat without a source. Present, diminishing, and never quite gone.

A NOTE FROM THE STUDIO

From the Director of Innovation

Last Ember is part of our Slow Hours Collection, and it was the hardest of the six to resolve. Smoke in fragrance usually arrives as campfire or as incense, both of which are loud. We wanted the moment after, when the fire has gone down, the room still holds the warmth, and what you are actually smelling is dry ash and warm wood rather than anything burning.

The temptation with tobacco and tonka is to let them fall into gourmand. We pulled the sweetness back repeatedly. Cocoa husk rather than cocoa, tonka at a level where it reads resinous, dried fruit in trace rather than as a note.

The fade was designed as much as the opening. It is a composition that is supposed to feel like it is leaving, and holding that quality through the drydown took the most work.

This is the darkest fragrance in the collection, but it is still a quiet one.

Why It's Distinctive

SMOKE WITHOUT THE FIRE

Rather than a bonfire or incense accord, Last Ember works in the aftermath: dry, diffused and fading, which is far less common and far more wearable.

WARMTH THAT ISN'T SWEET

Tobacco and tonka are held well back from gourmand territory, giving a resinous warmth that works across fine fragrance and home without reading as dessert.

DESIGNED DRYDOWN

The fade is the point. Performance was tuned for a long, diminishing tail rather than a strong throw, making it particularly effective in candles.
