Our Soy Butter is white to off-white in color and has a very mild scent. Soybeans are extremely high in lecithin, sterolins, vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and isoflavones. This butter penetrates easily into the skin, making it an effective moisturizing agent that hydrates the skin's moisture barrier while softening dry, chafed, and rough skin. It exhibits good spreadability on the skin, making it ideal as a massage butter or as a base for body balm. Additionally, it can be added to soaps, creams, lotions, body butters, and more. It can also be used in hair care products for added conditioning and shine.
Recommended Usage:
• Lotions & Creams: 2 - 20 %
• Balms: 5 - 100 %
• Bar Soaps: 5 - 20 %
• Hair Conditioners: 1 - 10 %
When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture is soft enough to be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate it. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend making small, lab-scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.
Storage: The storage temperature should not exceed 23°C. To maintain product quality, keep it in a cool sheltered place, away from items giving off strong odors. Do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Refrigeration is optional.
Shelf Life: Shelf life is 8 months from the date of manufacture under recommended storage conditions.
Cautions: For external use only; a skin test is recommended prior to use.
