French Green Clay comes from the sedimentation of Silico-aluminum, its color is the result of the oxides contained in these rocks. Its unique composition includes Iron, Silica, Aluminum, Magnesium, Calcium, Titanium, Sodium and Potassium. French Green Clay is prepared for the commercial market by a process of sun-drying and crushing. After the clay has been mined, it is spread in the sun to remove excess water. It is then ground by large hydraulic crushers and micronized, or finely pulverized. The last stage in the process is a final period of sun-drying to remove the last traces of water.
Appearance: Light green colored powder.
Benefits: French Green Clay absorbs and removes impurities from the skin, revealing the fresh surface of the skin to provide a healthy looking glow. When prepared as a mask, the clay dries on the skin causing pores to tighten and the skin starts to feel firm, toned and refreshed. French Green Clay can be used in mineral baths to promote relaxation of the body and a sense of well-being. It is suitable for all skin types.
Application: French Green Clay can be used in body wraps, soap making, face masks, mineral based or cream based cleansers, face or body scrubs, cosmetics and facial powders.
Directions for Use: 5-100% in skin-care products, 1 T. / 15ml per lb. / 500g of soap.
Caution: Caution should be exercised as clays may stain fabric.
Simple Face Mask Recipe:
Combine 1 tbsp of clays to 2 tbsp of water to form a paste and apply to the skin. Leave for about 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Floral water or aloe vera gel juice can be substituted for water.

Rating: This clay added a nice grey-green swirl to my CP mint soap. It required a heavier hand than other clays to get the color I wanted, giving the soap a bit of a doughy feel initially. It is curing and hardening nicely, however. It gives a little less slip than the French Yellow, but still very nice.

Rating: Product was neatly packaged in a wide mouth plastic canister. Color is a light, muted green with tones of tan and grey. I initially used it as a face mask for my sensitive skin. Felt nice and smooth with no irritation. Looking forward to see what happens with extended use.

Rating: A lovely soft green and the texture is very fine. I use it to color cold-process soap and the green is light and a true green.

Rating: I made a mud mask with the French green clay, zeolite ultra fine clay, seaweed powder, green tea botanical extract, cucumber botanical extract, avocado carrier oil, vitamin e oil, aloe vera gel juice, rosemary essential oil and eucalyptus essential oil. It was my first mask I've made myself so maybe went a little overboard wanting to try a bunch of the new products I got but it was a purely delightful mask! It made a beautiful green mud color which cooled and invigorated my skin as it dried. It had a nice tightening feel when drying and left my pores beautifully cleaned out and my skin a radiant, silky feel. Can't wait to try making different masks with the French green clay as the base clay.
Rating: I love this clay! After reading about the many benefits of French Green clay, I just had to buy some to try for myself. I made a facial mask with rose floral water, lavender essential oil, tea tree essential oil, and the green clay and placed it onto my face until it dried. When I rinsed my face, my skin was left feeling silky and smooth. Love it! Thank you, NDA

Rating: This clay is marvelous! Very fine and gentle while cleans effectively. I have ultra sensitive skin that gets irritated by nearly all types of clay and mud I've tried in the past. This French green clay did not cause any irritation whatsoever, and left my skin looking bright and feeling soft. It also cleaned up my pores really well.
I mix it with cucumber water, olive and green tea extract, and honey. It blended well with all the ingredients. It's best facial I've had! Will definitely buy more!
Rating: Second review on this product. After a knee injury I made a poultice with this clay and left it there for 2 hours. I did this 2 days in a row and the results were amazing! The swelling was seriously reduced and my leg felt so much better. Yeah it's a little messy and a bit of work to wrap it properly but it's all worth it when it comes yo your health.

Rating: I've done a few face masks with this clay, using aloe vera juice as the liquid, and scenting with various essential oils. I'm not very experienced with clay masks, but it makes a nice mask that isn't too drying. I've even done masks with children, which was really fun and generated a lot of laughs as the clay dried. Thanks for packaging it in a jar, it's really easy to scoop out without getting gigantic 'poofs' of dry clay in your face!

Rating: This clay is a great addition to some of my cp soaps; this was the first time I've bought clay from NDA and I really appreciated that it came in a plastic jar - SO much easier to work with than the plastic bags of clay I've received from other suppliers.

Rating: This clay is so wonderful. It mixes really nicely with Rosemary Spanish and Japanese Peppermint oils. I also like to add some apricot shells to make the mask more exfoliating. In general the clay is just so beautiful, and leaves your skin very smooth and soft.

Rating: This is an important product to have on hand! We used it on our goat who had an abcess from a foxtail burrowed in her check, and it healed quickly. It worked well to heal little cuts and larger ones as well. We've also added it to our toothpaste and it makes beautiful green soaps.
Rating: I used this clay with seaweed and green tea powder for a face mask and it was the best mask I've ever used. It's better than any of the facials I ever got!

Rating: French Green Clay is quite popular and I can see why! It leaves the skin clean and tingly but not in an irritated way and replenishes minerals, plus it has a lovely green hue! I am using it in my CP soap with beer for an awesome body cleanser and shampoo bar. Two birds with one stone!

Rating: I made a facial mask with this. It dries quickly and really absorbs oil. I would have likes more of an exfoliating feeling, but maybe if I play around with it some more I'll get that out of this clay.
