Description / Color / Consistency: A thin, clear to greenish yellow liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A middle note with a medium aroma, Grapefruit White has a fresh, slightly bitter scent that is very characteristic of the fruit.
Blends With: Grapefruit Pink blends well with other members of the citrus family, Rosemary, Cypress, Lavender, Geranium, Cardamom and generally most spice oils.
Product Abstract: The grapefruit tree was originally from Asia but it is now grown and harvested in the United States, France, Brazil and Israel. The grapefruit tree itself is a large tree about 10 meters (30 feet) tall, with glossy leaves, white flowers and large, pale yellow fruits with pink flesh. The differences between the White and Pink Grapefruits are minor, but more Pink Grapefruit is produced because it is sweeter. The difference in cost is simply from supply and demand.
Cautions: This essential oil may contain phototoxic properties and it is suggested to avoid exposure to the sun after application to the skin. Dilute well before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: Wow! Just like a fresh-cut Grapefruit! love it. I also love the Pink Grapefruit. They are different and you do need both, but if you are looking for freshly squeezed Grapefruit then choose this one!

Rating: White grapefruit is less sweet and more serious than pink grapefruit. I think it makes it carry better in candles. It's clean and uplifting. It brings nice complexity to blends. I particularly like to use it with a tiny bit of thyme essential oil. I'm a huge fan.

Rating: I've only ever bought pink grapefruit oil until I saw this on new directions. To me it's like smelling a fresh peeled grapefruit, maybe even a little bit tangier then the pink grapefruit. It's wonderful! I love diffusing this oil and adding it to other blends as well.

Rating: Besides smelling like heaven and sunshine all rolled into one, this oil has great synergistic properties. I use it in my insect repellants and in spritz's. Get some!
Rating: I have both the pink and white variety's and upon smelling the white i will say i actually prefer it. The pink to me is more of the sweetness of the fruit, and the white is the tang and zing i have come to expect from grapefruit. This is definitely what i picture of a fresh grapefruit being peeled.

Rating: I wasn't expecting much from this oil, but I ordered it anyway, and I am glad that I did. This E.O. smells like someone just peeled a grapefruit, and trust that I have eaten my share of grapefruit so I know what grapefruit should smell like. I have used the pink grapefruit, this is definitely more tart. I haven't actually used it yet, but out of the bottle it is fantastic.
