Product Abstract: The Lemon tree was originally a small thorny evergreen tree native to India. It is now common in Southern Europe, Florida and California. The fruit was well known in Europe by the middle ages, and the Greeks and Romans were advocates of its properties. Lemon Oil has been historically recognized as a cleanser, and Lemons themselves reached the height of fame when the British Navy began using citrus fruits to counteract the effects of scurvy.
Cautions: This essential oil may contain phototoxic properties and it is suggested to avoid exposure to the sun after application to the skin. Dilute well before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Smells like tart lemon head candies.
Not sure how it will work in blends yet without taking over, but without a doubt will make whatever you need to smell like lemon - smell like lemon.

Rating: This lemon oil is a delightful, intense but sweet. I'm using it for inhalation therapy in combination with clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary--the famous "Thieves" blend--along with the addition of small amounts of oregano, thyme and tea tree. This combination is highly germicidal. It's great to inhale, uplifting and healing. I was wheezing for months and finally realized that a couple of bookcases (from an old house) were moldy. I got rid of the books and wiped down the bookcases with the lemon oil ALONE. Between thoroughly cleaning the wood with the lemon oil and inhaling my special blend, I had a good night's sleep and for the first time in months didn't wheeze and cough when I lay down.
This wonderful lemon oil is very economical in a 16.6 oz bottle. I also felt comfortable not getting the organic. I figured that if it's from Sicily, there's a very small likelihood that it's sprayed; so why pay extra for certification? My lungs are thanking me. Oh, and the lemon oil is great for all wooden furniture as well.
One tip: Make sure you refrigerate lemon and other citrus oils; otherwise, they'll degrade.
Rating: WOW WOW WOW, THIS is the Strongest Lemon I've ever tried. It's AWESOME. A little goes a LONG way. I will try to order this forever now. :) I always buy the 5 fold and have enjoyed it but this is perfectly Fabulous.

Rating: I love the Sicily Lemon! It smells very citrusy and lemony, and works great as an additive to my spray bottle with vinegar to clean anything and everything around the house (kitchen, bath, laminate floors, glass, even carpets!). It is such a pleasant scent and really cuts the sharp vinegar odor.
Rating: I concur, this is the BEST lemon oil I've ever put my nose to. Outstanding. It's like bottled sunlight.

Rating: I love NDAs Citrus Oils! This lemon is slightly less sweet then the Lemon 5 fold. It is a stronger citrus note. I don't know which one I prefer! I've made an all purpose house cleaner with this essential oil and it works great and smells amazing!

I own ALOT of essential oils and that includes a few lemon essential oils from different companies BUT this lemon (sicily) oil from NDA is the absolute BEST! It has an extremely fresh and bright lemon scent that I didn't smell in my other lemon essential oil from a different company. I will be getting my oils from NEW DIRECTION AROMATICS from now on!

Rating: I mix this oil with the base soap for in the kitchen. It helps with getting the smell of food off my hands and make my kitchen smell clean.

Rating: Very invigorating! I mixed very little with tea tree and white willow bark extract to make a facail acne bar and all I can say is my face is very clean:) I also grated a bar down and mixed with natural sugar to make a foaming face scrub and the scent held strong. LOVE IT ,LOVE IT ,LOVE IT!

Rating: This Oil is so great for everything! I use it in the whirlpool to help keep the crud out of the jets. I use it in the laundry, kitchen, it's a great SAFE solvent. My favorite use is to sprinkle it all over my clients' backs at the end of their massage- great dose of vitamin C to clear toxins, activate kidneys and adrenals.
Rating: Great smell, I put some of it in a plastic bottle and it ate through the bottle and got on everything - a nearby cup, toothbrush holder and ate them too... it definitely has the right active compounds! I think it will be great to use it in less soluble mixtures.
Rating: I am never without this oil -- it's in all my home cleaning supplies. Great lemon smell -- fresh and bright!

Lemon oil is also a good media for adding a small amount of refined camphor to lotions. You can dissolve refined (solid) camphor in the lemon oil and then mix that with unscented lotions. It gives the soothing effect of the camphor with the great smell of lemon. It\'s also very inexpensive.
Rating: I got this oil to use for home made sugar scrubs. I brought the finished products to my family's Christmas party for the women along with orange and vanilla scented scrubs. Everyone was fighting over the lemon! It was so refreshing and sweet smelling. I got demands to make more!
Rating: This inexpensive oil is a marvel! It is affordable enough to use in cleaning products, yet high enough quality to use therapeutically.

Rating: This is a wonderful oil. When we were selling our newly remodeled house, we used it to clean paint off the wood (be careful it doesn't remove the varnish) and off of the kitchen counters. It cleaned so well, that I would just carry a bottle with me around the house. It took the annoying stickers off of the new windows as well. Of course, it also smells amazing so a few drops in the bathroom trash is wonderful. I used the 3.3 oz bottle so fast, that I just bought the 16 oz.

Also great for deodorizing and cleansing the fridge, somewhere you wouldn't want harsh chemicals.
Rating: I love anything lemon scented. It's so uplifting. I've found this oil to be useful in many blends. If I want something just a little sweet, without completely changing the blend I add lemon. But it also smells so good by itself! Just like candy!

Rating: This is the best lemon I have ever used, fabulous quality and at a price that amazes me. I used to pay this much for the 1/2 oz size.
I put a few drops in my laundry......I have the cleanest clothes in my family .
I soak my fish or chicken in water with 2 drops of lemon before I prepare it...
I add a few drops of lemon to a cup of water in my spray bottle and the whole house smells so clean....
Lemon is a must have.

Rating: I have used this in a bath salt and while when it is first applied it smells heavenly it doesn\'t appear to have a very long shelf life at least not in the bath salts. I have tried it in a couple of other products where it worked very well and the scent stayed true for a much longer time.I would recommend this product just not for that particular medium.

Rating: I love this oil and would not be without an ample supply! I use it everywhere from dishwater (makes my sink, countertops, fixtures SHINE) to removing tree sap from my children's hands (takes it right off). It has a clear, refreshing, uplifting scent - what a wonderfully versatile oil!
Rating: There's definitely no mistaking the scent of this potent essential oil. The scent is clean, it's fresh, and it reminds me of a sring day in the sunshine! A basket of fresh lemons also comes to mind when I smell this particular oil. I use it in my toner with witch hazel for my oily skin and it does wonders in removing that extra oil on my face. I'm definitely a return customer for this essential oil!
