Natural Blends are oils obtained by blending natural isolates from various essential oils to achieve an economical product that resembles the fragrance of the pure essential oil. Natural Blends are all natural, and do not contain any synthetic ingredients or aromatic compounds, nor do they contain artificial flavors or colorants. They are suitable for all-natural product preparations and can be used to fragrance various cosmetic products.
This Natural Blend offers high quality yet inexpensive fragrance option that mimics the intricate aromas of pure Essential Oil.
Main Constituents: Linalool: 86.9%
Plant Part: Rosewood is now an endangered species, so this is a substitute blend made up of purely natural constituents to smell as much like the real Rosewood as possible.
Description / Color / Consistency: A thin, clear, colourless to pale yellow liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A top note with a medium aroma, this oil has a warm and woody scent, though sweeter and slightly floral.
Product Abstract: Rosewood is a small evergreen tree now controlled as an endangered species by the Government of Brazil. Since there is very little good affordable quality of Rosewood Oil available, we offer this natural blend which imitates the components and scent of the real Rosewood Oil. This oil is rich in linalool, a constituent, which can be transformed into a number of derivatives of value to the flavor and fragrance industries.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
WARNING Prop 65: This product contains a component which is listed under California Proposition 65. California residents will receive this product labeled accordingly.

Rating: This is my first rosewood-esqe EO, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it is lovely. Not too sweet, with a satisfying woody bite. I'll be using it (in a blend) in wax drawer fresheners. Next I will be trying the Ho Wood, since it looks like that is also a popular rosewood substitute.
Rating: 5 stars ALL THE WAY! My sister bought this EO and I had to buy more for myself. Its actually the reason why I decided to buy almost all my oils from ND. The quality and smell are superb. I find myself going back to it continuously as a staple essential oil to use. Gorgeous oil I will be purchasing over and over! Good job ND!

Rating: This is nice. It's going to fun to work with. It reminds me of having just planted a rose bush in the ground. Earthy with a very subtle rose note.
Rating: This is one of the most wonderful scents i have ever smelled. It's definitely unique, its got the perfect balance between woody and floral, it's extremely uplifting and grounding. New absolute favorite EO will be ordering a large bottle for my cp soaps and personal use. its a top note but it lasts quite long, i put it on my pillow and it can last all day; maybe that's the benefit of it being a blend with added turpentines, pure Brazilian rosewood would run anyone broke.

Rating: Wow this stuff smells amazing i cant wait to use it in an earthy blend with cedarwood or patchouli. I can't quite but my finger on the smell but its somewhere between warm and woody with a hint of fruit, i ordered the sample size and im wishing i got a bigger bottle. My only complaint is it's not the real deal essential oil but im sure if it was the price would be to high because of the rarity of the wood for my budget anyways.

Rating: Truly lovely. This oil correctly described in so many terms, it would be difficult to anticipate by reviews alone. It is very inexpensive so buy some and evaluate for yourself. You'll find it versatile and totally satisfying ...and if you don't, you're out very little money and you'll have learned something. That is worth the price, in my opinion.

By:Melissa, Concrete, Washington Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 20-Sep-2011
Rating: I don't know what Rosewood EO smells like but this blend is fabulous. It smells like a complex wine. It is all that the description above says: Warm, woody, floral and fruity. You feel full and intoxicated with just a few sniffs of this wonderful essential oil blend.

By:Melanie, St-Léonard, Quebec Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: I love the smell of this oil. I have never had rosewood before, so I don't know how this compares. I will be buying more in the future.
By:Katie, Arvada, Colorado Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 14-Apr-2011
Rating: This really smells like rosewood!! Not as strong or floral as the real rosewood essential oil I have already, but very very close. Can't wait to try this in a cream.
By:Mary, New Westminster, British Columbia Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: I'm so glad ND offers this comparable rosewood. Aromatically and ethically this is a fantastic oil.
By:Jenny, St. Johns, Michigan Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 22-Aug-2010
Rating: A wonderful mix with a slight fruitiness to it. I can not say that this is equal with true Rosewood, but it as close as you can get. Besides, I would much rather pay ND prices for a blend than $2000-$3000 dollars a 1/2 ounce for true Rosewood. Between this and Ho Wood, your Rosewood needs will be satisfied in full. Good job ND!

By:Stephanie, Sewell, New Jersey Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 11-May-2009
Rating: Very potent oil. The nuances of the fragrance of rosewood come out much more clearly when it's well diluted. It's fresh, "cool" and woodsy with a subtle floral undertone. Really something special that can't be confused with any other EO. It also has excellent therapeutic qualities: I find the scent really calming and balancing, and I like to take advantage of some of its other properties by including it in face masks and serums.
Rating: This is by far the best Rosewood EO I have ever smellled. The others don't even compare -- they have all been significantly less potent, and with far fewer notes. I'm using for skin softening in my formulations. Love it!
By:Laura, Lakeville, Massachusetts Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 22-Mar-2009
Rating: The batch I received was a very elegant Rosewood with excellent theraputic qualities and simply lovely in terms of sheer sensual fragrance.

Rating: This one is a must-have. I love woody scents for being a deep and clean smell, but this one is also sweet so it blends well with florals, citrus, and vanilla. I find that it rounds out mixes well when they just need a little something extra.
By:Gretchen, Phoenix, Arizona Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 05-Jul-2008
Rating: Lovely oil, woods-y and floral, very nice. it adds great depth to other florals and citrus scents.

Rating: What a lovely scent! I agree with the comment below that it adds depth to floral blends. I blended the rosewood with bergamot with a lovely result. I can't imagine living without it! Very high quality as usual.

By:Louis, Faison, North Carolina Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 06-Mar-2008
Rating: My all time favourite scent. And the fact that NDA obtains their rosewood from ethically responsible sources (at least the most responsible possible in the circumstances) makes it 10 times better!

By:Judith, Reisterstown, Maryland Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 26-Mar-2006
Rating: The best scent ever. I use it in my face serum and add a few drops in my shea butter mixture. It reminds me of some of my mother's antique chests that my great granny brought from China.

By:Karen, Spring Hill, Florida Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 04-Dec-2007

By:Lesley, Toronto, Ontario Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: A glorious Rosewood from the Brazilian jungle with a unique rich floral-citrusy fragrance. I used it in my Private Estate Stash of Special Soaps, that I create only for my family not for my Company...but guess what...everyone wants it now after using it when they visit! I guess I'll be ordering a very large quantity soon.
