Main Constituents: Terpinen-4-ol: 35 - 48% γ-Terpinene: 14 - 28%
Plant Part: Leaves
Origin: Australia
Processing Method: Steam Distilled
Description / Color / Consistency: A thin, clear, pale yellow liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A middle note with a medium aroma, Tee Tree has a fresh, slightly medicinal scent with characteristic woody, camphoraceous notes.
Product Abstract: The Tea Tree is a small tree or shrub with needle-like leaves. It is also domestically referred to as Ti-Tree. It can grow up to 7 meters (20 feet) in height and thrives in marshy areas, though it is now cultivated in plantations. The aboriginal people of Australia have long used Tea tree Oil. Historically, the leaves were used as a substitute for tea, which is how it got its name. In World War II, the producers and the cutters of Tea Tree were exempt from military service until enough essential oil had been accumulated to accommodate the military's needs. Tea Tree is very robust and is ready for cutting only two years after its previous harvest. As Essential Oils have become more accepted by the public, the use of Tea Tree Oil has increased significantly. This is readily seen in the commercial products now using Tea Tree, although this grade is more potent and can be used for various other applications.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: A great-smelling Tea Tree that works wonderfully. Superb quality.

Rating: I have used tea tree for almost 10 years now, and this is a great scent. Tried around other places plenty, and get all my oils here now. Use it for cold process soap and it is wonderful! The value for the money is great, and it comes out the same every time. It deserves the 5/5 it has been rated for.
Rating: A great quality essential oil! Clean crisp smell you would expect. Potent, clear and great for my soaps! The quality I've come to expect from all the oils offered here. Finally found my new source for ALL my essential oils and I use quite a few :)
Rating: The price is cheap but the quality is not. It helps my toner clean and smell great while cooling the face. Customers love them!

Rating: Yea this has got to be one of the best quality tea tree oils out there! The smell of this oil is just so clean, crisp and lightly medicinal smelling. And the price is so great also! Just because it smells light and is less money doesn't mean it's less potent, I use tea tree oil neat on my acne when I get breakouts and I had been using another well known MLM brand which I will not mention and when used on acne it usually took about three days to see a clear up of my acne, this AAA variety from ND I tried recently on a breakout and the NEXT DAY it cleared up 90%! Wow just amazing! A very popular, wayy more expensive brand cannot stand up to the quality of this oil from new directions, I highly recommend this AAA Australian tea tree over any other brand out there. 10 stars if I can rate that high.

Rating: I love this oil! Smells amazing and the price is very fair! I mainly use it in CP soap, but personally I'll use it in hair sprays for my children and also keep a small bottle in our first aid kit!
Rating: I've purchased this Australian kind and the variant that comes from China and this is a winner for me. Although they closely resemble each other, this has the cleaner, more refreshing tea tree scent and we use it in everything... from soaps to hand sanitizers and facial toners mixed with ND's Witch Hazel. Another winner from ND that I would recommend.

Rating: A mild, fresh scent with no barnyard undertone. I am using it for skin blemishes and in my "get well" EO blend. Not as strong-smelling as the more expensive kinds I have used; this can be a pro or a con depending on your taste!
Rating: I'm a HUGE Tea Tree-aholic too & I agree with the other reviews regarding the scent..IT IS THE BEST smelling Tea Tree I've ever purchased & I've purchased many from just about everyone! AMAZING SCENT

Rating: Oh, I love this tea tree oil!! I have been using TTO for many years and have ordered it from just about every popular vendor. The New Directions TTO is, by far, the best smelling one and it is potent! I make a toner, foot spray, cleaning spray, and medicinal blends and this TTO does its job and then some. I will DEFINITELY order again.
Rating: This is actually the best Tea Tree EO that I have ever smelled. I was very pleasantly surprised and will buy more! Good quality and price

Rating: Good for the Feet - Kills Wart Virus
I have to say that I am not too fond of the smell of Tea Tree Oil, but I love how it works on my feet. Ever since I was a teenager I have had problem with occasionally recurring plantar warts on my feet. Freezing them off is the only thing I had found that works once they are there - and that hurts! I have found by using Tea Tree Oil in my nightly foot oil mix that it seems to prevent the recurrence of any plantar warts on my feet. That has been a tremendous relief! So far I have been using this mix for about four years and been wart free since then. In my mix I use about equal parts tea tree oil, camphor oil, and Aloe Vera oil. I originally came up with this mix to help with the burning of my feet at night. When I added the Tea Tree Oil I discovered the other benefit.
Rating: My husband was getting after me because we were out. He uses it for his teeth. When I opened it and smelled it I was thrilled at how much it smelled like I thought it should and was strong and antiseptic. I use it in a blend I make up every winter for fighting flu and colds. I will be reordering this I am sure. I also really appreciate the other reviews. I get some good ideas from them. So thanks ND for keeping them posted. It also helps me make a decision when I am waffling about which to order.

Rating: I'm very new to the whole soap making Hobby. I purchased this because I bought commercial products with this ingredient. I love this Oil! It's exactly what i was hoping for. Thanks ND!!!
Rating: Tea tree is an excellent all-purpose first aid oil, and one of my best sellers for its versatility and ease of use. I always carry tea tree and lavender with me when I travel, and between them I can treat most common ailments. It smells strong, medicinal, kind of like solvent, but heck, it is very therapeutic and is in fact a solvent! Great for removing nail polish and the glue from stickers and labels, among many other uses. Excellent product at an excellent price, thanks ND!

Rating: Tea tree is such a versatile scent. I have started using the oil with my salt deodorant stick. I put a couple drops on and it's a little strong at first, but then fades away and smells really nice. It's not overpowering at all. Such a great scent for use in so many things.
Rating: I really like the bottle and opener with seal on this 16.6 size great for putting on the big toes if you have nail issues.

Rating: We use tea tree as an all-purpose first aid treatment and to treat acne. When my children were babies, this treated diaper rash better than anything. I'm looking forward to using it in a new product.
Rating: I don't particularly care for the scent of Tea Tree at all, but I do like the Australian over the Chinese for sure. Very beneficial for facial, hair and foot products. I always keep tea tree in stock and just a few drops will do, very strong medicinal scent

Rating: An absolutely essential essential oil :) It is great used in skin care and has a strong but strangely pleasing smell. Once applied to skin, you can feel the oil cleaning your skin. Great in a clay scrub and I'm sure there are plenty of other uses--can't wait to explore! NDA has fantastic products and I love the packaging, making you guys my preferred site. Thanks for your quality products and this lovely tea tree oil!

Rating: Tea tree oil is my go-to cure-all and I always have a tiny sample-size bottle in my purse and my hubby carries it in his emergency kit. It has worked on stubborn dandruff, athletes foot, thrush, nail fungus, boils, acne, gargle for throat infections, and soothed bug bites. Used as an antiseptic on minor cuts and scrapes and as a general "biting insect" repellant. Leaves a cooling sensation on skin if applied undiluted. Scent is strong, medicinal but clean. Mixes well with lavender and/or peppermint. If you can only buy one essential oil to help fix your skin, buy this one.

Rating: this oil is AMAZING...i use it in a blend with lavender, grapefruit, rosemary, and orange essential oil with witch hazel and vodka (yes, vodka) as a toner. it very effectively removes excess residue after cleansing and appears to shink pores after swiping across with a cotton pad. i also steam my face with a couple drops of tea tree and use as a spot treatment with great results... thank you NDA for these great oils at affordable prices!!!

Rating: A great EO for a great price. I've used it in facial masks, OCM mixes, and after sun lotion. I've found I really like it with some French lavender and rosemary, for both the scent and the healing benefits.

Rating: Strong robust tea tree. What can I say? I love what tea tree does, hate the smell. The lemon tea tree smells wonderful, but I don't know if it has as many medicinal qualities. True to form.

Rating: I have used both ND's Australian and Chinese Tea Tree oil's and I have no complaints, but for the price, quantity and quality, the Chinese is as good if not better, which was a surprise to me, and the Chinese version has a slightly better smell, not quite as strong in smell, but just as effective in every other way. So if you've been using this great oil, and hesitant to try the Chinese version, go for it!

Rating: This should be in everyone's medicine cabinet! I use it for everything from cuts and scrapes to sinus relief. A few drops of this and lavender mixed with Jojoba base makes an amazing treatment for foot fungus. My skin absolutely loves the stuff and feels amazing after a rubdown with tea tree and grapeseed oil. Personally, I love the smell, but I understand those that are not a fan. It does have a medicine-mint smell to it. However, the excellent price and quality of the Australian variety offered here warrant you to give it a shot. Thanks for having the best prices ND!

Rating: Clean, fresh, nearly medicinal scent. Yet pleasant. I made a scalp treatment with shea butter, olive oil and the tea tree, very nice. Seems to gather strength after a little 'cure' time. Tingly and effective. Having fun mixing it with other EO's.
Rating: Wow! This stuff is amazing. I have helped quite a few people that had really disgusting pimples that just didn't want to heal. These were huge crater like pimples that were swollen and painful. First, they pierced the pimple and then I dabbed on some T.T oil. It took everything out.It even took out the clear liquid in the pimple. The next day the pimple is dry and the swelling is 97% gone.

Rating: A friend used Tea Tree oil to get rid of lice - it worked when nothing else would. Also, in the same campground, used it to repel lice, mosquitoes, and to cure fungal infections.
Rating: As an aromatherapist and reflexologist I have used this oil on the usual but recently started adding a few drops along with orange EO to floor cleaner and the whole house smells great; add same to murphy's soap for cleaning wood cabinets, doors, etc. knowing it's better than using harsh chemicals.
Rating: Tea Tree oil is great as a natural insect repellent. We use when we go outside or out on the lake. All bugs stay away from us. It is also wonderful to use for bacterial and odor problems--use a few drops on a WET washcloth and clean offensive genital smells. It works better than soap and water to eliminate the smell. It leaves a tingly fresh feel also after using. I carry it during the day in my purse with a washcloth and use it whenever I need to freshen up.
Rating: I LOVE this Tea Tree. The smell is bright, crisp, and clean. I use this in my deep conditioning hair and scalp treatment, and have used it to treat acne with great success. Great product!
