Appearance: Off white to pale yellow colored powder. The color may vary from batch to batch.
Banana Powder is rich in potassium and vitamin A. In formulations it has proven to be great for dry skin, and contains no known substance to aggravate or irritate the skin. Some users have used Banana Powder by itself as a rich, moisturizing facial mask.
Recommended Usage: The maximum quantity of powdered fruit extract should not exceed 0.5% of the total product, while in tincture form the maximum amount of fruit extract must not exceed 5%.
Note: The fruit extracts possess all the nutrients and beneficial properties of the fruit, but may or may not have the aroma of the actual fruit. Fruit extracts are meant for adding nourishing properties to the formulation and not for scenting the products.

Rating: I really love this banana powder! When you add purified water it smells like bananas. I purchased it to make facial masks. Will most definitely purchase it again. In the product specification section, it states that this powder should not exceed .5% of total product. Meaning that in a 100 gram batch formula for a powdered mask... one would add only .5 grams to the batch? I can see that for the pineapple powder that would be the case but for banana it seems like a very low percentage. Would appreciate any feedback from individuals that have used this in a mask.

NDA's spray-dried fruit extracts are concentrated. The recommended usage level of these extracts is 0.5% (powder form) to 5% (tincture form). The usage level mentioned is “typical” but there is no harm in using a higher percentage. These are 100% natural extracts, but sensitivity depends on the skin type and needs to be tested.

Rating: Just started adding botanical and fruit extracts to my bath bombs and all of the fruit extracts from NDA have blended perfectly! I used the banana extract with Chamomile extract, oatmeal colloidal and coconut milk. They smelled heavenly and gave the bath bombs a nice yellowy tint without needing any added colors! Love Love all the extracts!! I wish they had more options to expand my bath bomb creations!!
Rating: I've just tried using fruit powders for the first time. This banana powder has a light smell and doesn't linger in the final product. It dissolved well and no gritty feeling to my final product. I liked the packaging and would purchase again.
Rating: Question to anyone reading this! Why haven't you placed this In your cart? First of all I just say this smells like sweet bananas and does wonders for sensitive, dry skin.

Rating: I purchased this after reading the reviews from others (thank you everyone -- reviews are VERY helpful when experimenting). I'm glad I did. I just did a test batch of facial scrub using NDA's facial scrub base with apricot, added some walnut husk, banana extract, lemongrass essential oil and grapeseed oil - WOW! My face felt smooth, hydrated, and exfoliated! Scrubs typically leave my face feeling tight and in need for hydration afterwards -- not this time! Didn't even reach for the face cream. This scrub gave my skin a nice peachy glow. I'll be ordering more and trying it in other skin care and hair recipes. Thanks!

Rating: I wish I had bought more.. I put it in my shampoo and conditioner in between hair cuts and split ends just don't exist. I also added water, pure honey, and oatmeal and made an unbelievably moisturizing face mask. Such a great and versatile product.

Rating: I bought this Banana fruit extract out of curiosity. It turned out to be a great decision. I used it in some of my soaps. Soap makers, this powder blends much more easily if you first add a little water and blend it into a paste before adding to a soap mixture.
As a stand-alone product, I use this (mixed with water) as a facial mask. It moisturizes and tightens the skin, leaving it soft and youthful. The same mixture, used as a hair mask, leaves the hair soft and shiny - but without all the chemicals found in most conditioners on the market.
I can see this is going to be a versatile product. Banana paste is said to be excellent in treating burns and wounds, and is also said to help prevent scar tissue from forming.
