Made from 100% pure refined beeswax, our Beeswax Yellow Beads are ideal for candle making since beeswax candles burn cleaner and longer than petroleum-based waxes. The naturally fragrant, slow burning beeswax pellets produce no smoke compared to its paraffin counterpart, and has a melting point of 146°F.
Pure beeswax also possesses many cosmetic benefits. When applied topically, it is naturally hydrating, conditioning, soothing, and protecting. Beeswax is a common ingredient in lip balms, as well as in lotions, salves, deodorants, and hair care pomades.
The color is subject to natural variations ranging from light yellow to yellow depending on the batch. Customers can get either color depending on the availability. Color may also appear lighter over time due to exposure to light, heat, or the presence of efflorescence, which occurs naturally in beeswax when minor components migrate to the surface to create a hazy appearance.
Caution: Overheating this product will impact its delicate fragrance. Please melt at as low a heat as possible while stirring gently, and use as soon as it is melted.

Rating: After using this beeswax several times, I have decided to revise my previous review. I do not think that this beeswax deserves more than three stars, even though it has a lovely texture and I love the convenience of the pearls. The scent has proven to be completely overpowering, and I guess I didn't get a really good whiff of it when I first smelled it because it smells almost like plastic. Overall, the smell is fair-- but it is way too strong and gives me a headache after handling the product for too long! I used this beeswax in a cream recipe I made up. The proportions were as follows: 170g shea butter, 85g coconut oil, 35g beeswax, 12g carrier oil (I used equal portions of soybean and rice bran oils), a couple of pinches of arrowroot powder, and a LOT of grapefruit essential oil. The ointment came out very nicely, but even with all the grapefruit oil, it still smelled very strongly of the beeswax. Bottom line: unless you want every product you make to smell of plastic-laced honey, do not use this product.

Rating: Best. Beeswax. Ever. They smell very strong, but in a good way--- they smell natural, honey-ish, and sweet. Delicious. And they'll be so easy to use!! They're roughly the size and shape of split green peas.

Rating: This was my first time to use beeswax beads, and it's so much easier than cutting little chunks from a brick. What I didn't like so much about this beeswax was the scent and the color. It wasn't bad, really, just not what I was expecting. The wax I had been using previously was much lighter in color, not so yellow, and didn't have as strong of a smell. This stuff doesn't exactly smell unpleasant to me, but it is hard to cover up. My solution has been to combine beeswax with candelilla wax in my recipes, which I am beginning to think results in a nicer product anyway!

Rating: I just love this product. Prior to discovering the joy of bee's wax beads, I was grating bars of bee's wax by hand for my lipbalms, solid perfumes and salves -- a looong and very boring process, I assure you!! The beads are actually on the flattish side, ie. not round like a marble. They melt very easily and smell wonderful. You won't be disappointed with this product. Great value for the money!
