I use it for cold sores and liver complaints. I have seen it markedly reduce the viral counts on hepatitis patients. With a wonderful aroma!

This is a great addition to your family's medicine chest. Diluted with carrier oil and blended with tea tree and eucalyptus to ward off colds, or in aromatherapy. Ravensara is great oil to keep your family healthy!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite every day oils. It's a shame that people don't knowbabout Ravensara! It's like a nice cross of eucalyptus and tea tree. This is very good quality, and the price is fabulous!

I made a salve with ravensara, tamanu oil and beeswax to treat a wart on my son's finger after reading about the antiviral action of ravensara. In a week and a half the wart was gone, and I didn't have to use the harsh OTC wart treatments. Ravensara is also great in a nebulizer with lavender and eucalyptus. This product is wonderful-I highly recommend!

Really useful oil for skin healing, sleep and more. Nice aroma, like a milder but more herbaceous version of fennel.

Lovely scent and therapeutic as well. After a hospital stay and massive dose of prednisone I developed shingles which are terribly painful and can be very hard to get rid of. Read in an aromatherapy handbook that ravensara and tamanu oil in 1:1 ratio often clear them within 5 days and this was my experience. Within 2 days pain was diminished within one week, sores completely healed and no recurrence 1 year later. Use during flu season w/ eucalyptus in the shower.

Introduction to Ravensara Wild was a sampler. I immediately designated it as my new Tea Tree with a more attractive smell. I have been applying several drops, daily - neat, to an area on my arm that has been harboring something like a sebaceous cyst [I had it ultra-sounded last year which resulted in no particular identification] and its mass has noticeably shrunk. I then purchased a 3.3 oz bottle, since it's my new snake oil, but this batch is different. The aroma is not as pungent (not as sweet or anice-like, kind of muddled) and when applied neat it doesn't produce a tingle (desensitized?). I still give a five star rating because I realize there will always be batch variations and my order experiences with NDA have always been satisfying.

Nice alternative/addition to Tea Tree and Eucalyptus for respiratory issues. I really like the spicy-sweet scent. It is wonderful in a nebulizing diffuser. I can't wait for my shipment with Rosalina so I can try them out together with a couple drops of Benzoin. EO's like these make being sick a lot sweeter. Thanks NDA!

I read in the reviews that this works for cold sores. That was an understatement. This is incredible. It works better than abreva without the chemicals. Three of us have used it so far with the same amazing results. One was their first cold sore and it had hung on for a week. She only used one application, and it cleared up immediately. So this works even later on in the game if you don't catch it immediately. If you catch it immediately, you don't have to go through hardly anything. I also love the licorice smell and find it to be very relaxing. This is the best of the best!!

I read that this is good for rosacea, so I put it in a skin toner I made, and it worked well. Of course, because I mixed it with other things, I can't be sure how it would have done on its own, but I do really like the smell. I don't actually find it medicinal smelling. I find that it's a little sweet, sharp, minty, and overall pleasant. Definitely worth having!

This stuff is AMAZING!! It kills cold sores dead in their tracks!!! I've never seen anything like it before. One of my customers wanted me to make something for him for a cold sore that had already developed and I made up a lip balm with some of this in it and it stopped the cold sore completely. Everyone should have it. Plus the spicy black licorice scent is kinda cool too :)

I had read that this E.O. was useful in treating viral problems like cold sores. I can attest that if it is applied ( I did it neat) as soon as the tingling begins this E.O. stops this eruption. Absolutely fantastic! The scent is not unpleasant also.

I think this oil is way under estimated, the scent is sweet, spicey & maybe a little medicinal, it has awsome healing ability, I've been making perfumes these days, I use it with frankincense, sandlewood and myrrh & other oils for a guys cologne. I kind of started using it by accident with my colognes, I origanally got it for the excellent healing ability and bought more this is well worth adding to anyones collection.

I used Ravensara in a blend with several other essential oils and crystals for cold and flu. Diffused it and rubbed it on my chest and then applied heat. It is just magical!

I didn't like this oil at first, but now I like it blended with peppermint or spearmint and lavender. I used it all winter in my humidifier to prevent colds and flu (this past winter I didn't get sick once! It probably wasn't just the essential oils, but I was impressed!).

A licorice like smelling oil extremely useful for stress reduction, detoxification and digestion complaints. It has powerful tonic and anti-viral properties and will definitely help with anxiety and nervous fatigue. A very good, helpful oil to use to fight bacterial and viral infections. A must have oil.

I agree with the other review that it has an anise smell to it and also reminds me of a wild minty plant that used to grow near my house. It is a curious scent that adds an interesting note to blends. As far as fragrance goes, it is a nicer and lighter medicine smell than Eucalyptus.

I tried this oil out of curiosity. known as an antibiotic and bacteria inhibitor i wanted to try it in a blend to use after body waxing. in a blend of lavender, niauoli, small amount of thyme and parsley the ravensara added a complex and pleasent dimension to my blend. when i first scented ravensara i wasnt sure i liked it but then i began to blend it and wow! now i love it and use it as well in diffusion for colds, flu and viral infections. has a anise like smell but more medicinal (i love medicinal smells personally). the nail techs in our salon love it for pedicures and smells great when blended with spearmint! so give it a try and you will find it amazing in many different blends. from now on ravensara is one of my must have essential oils.
