Product Abstract: Patchouli is a very fragrant herb with soft oval leaves and square stems. It grows from 2 to 3 feet in height and provides an unusual odor that is nonetheless characteristic of patchouli when the leaves are rubbed. It became very popular throughout the British Empire when silks and cashmere shawls from India were packed with Patchouli to discourage insects during shipping, the scent being the final proof of origin. Genuine India Ink was also scented with it. Patchouli improves with age, and the aged oil is what is preferred over that which is freshly harvested. In aromatherapy and perfumery, Patchouli provides an excellent fixative that can help extend other, more expensive oils. The color of the oil is affected by the distillation machine; if the young leaves are distilled in a stainless steel vessel, the oil will be light, but if done in an iron vessel, the color will be dark.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: This light patchouli is exactly what it says, light! I find it very pleasing it has a nice delicate and sweet scent, it isn't too overpowering like the dark version that will overwhelm any other scent that you try to add. I usually don't enjoy or add patchouli to my personal blends, but this one is light and sweet enough that I've been using patchouli more and more now,and the scent of it is starting to grow on me more and more. This is a good oil to try if you don't like patchouli's scent that much but want to experience the benefits that it has to offer.

Rating: I'm not actually usually a patchouli fan, but this is light enough that I can use it in my diffuser, usually combined with a single citrus (esp orange) or citrus blend. I use the organic version for recipes that will be used topically, so I do use this exclusively aromatically. For times when you want that "60s" vibe, just a drop or two will do the trick!

Rating: I buy Patcouli in the Big bottle and switch back and forth between the light and the dark. This seems stronger than dark, which is vital in cp soap. A must have!
Rating: Patchouli was my first love among EO's almost 30 years ago. I have rarely met one I didn't like, and don't regret buying the 3.3 oz. At a fantastic price, this has the characteristic strong, sweet, calming woody scent -- but missing a little of the dark mystery that I sometimes get. I will be trying the Dark variety next.
Rating: I've had a deep aversion to anything patchouli ever since I was a teenager wading through patchouli-drenched clothes in thrift shops, so I think it's nothing short of a miracle that this oil has finally cured me of it. I still can't say that I _enjoy_ the smell, but I'm completely accepting of it now thanks to this, and I really appreciate its soothing effects on my skin and digestive system.

Rating: The BEST Patchouli I've ever smelt!!!! I wish I had gotten this LONG before trying others. NDA is the best. I got the dark also and it is VERY good also but this is soft and sweet. you could wear this as a perfume right out of the bottle! It's Lovely. This is NOT a dirty hippie smell at all.
Rating: NDA has the BEST oils I've found online! Only ordered a little, to see what it was like, and was blown away at the quality... not to mention, how carefully it was packaged :) loads of bubble wrap! Just ordered like 12 bottles so I'll be well stocked up! I have a habit of sharing my beauty supplies & thanks to the reasonable pricing, I can afford to be generous w/ any family & friends that share my love of patchouli.

Rating: I enjoy Light Patchouli even more than the dark, which is also lovely. The scent is softer but very clear. I can overwhelm other oils so I use it sparingly in my diffuser blends. Absolutely enchanting!

Rating: My customers are very happy with this patchouli in my soaps! I didn't used to like patchlouli myself but I have to admit, this has grown on me. I only buy this brand because my customers have told me many times that this is a good one!

Rating: Light patchouli is so much more pleasant than the dark. Musky and sweet.
I find blending the light and dark together is fabulous.
Rating: Love the smell. The light version is just right for using in creams or body scrub.

Rating: I used to dislike patchouli because it was so strong, but this light version is much more pleasing to the nose. I can't wait to mix up a blend with rose and sandalwood and see how it works as a diffuser for the bedroom.

Rating: A very lovely patchouli EO. I have a customer who buy 10 bars of my CP patchouli soap at a time, so she never runs out. A very popular scent & one that I always keep in stock.

Rating: I use this in a blend in one of my most popular cosmetics and even customers who say they don't like patchouli seem to like it. Have been very satisfied with the value from NDA.
Rating: Patchouli is yet a staple scent for me. I love it in soaps and just on it's own diffused. I find it to be another romantic scent. I find this oil very calming and earthy.

Rating: This is exceptional and wonderfully intoxicating fragrance. Blends well with a range of other essential oils. Will buy again!

Rating: Interestingly, when I got this patchouli, I found it way too strong out of the bottle and regretted the purchase. Now, a year later, I LOVE the smell of it. I've read that patchouli's fragrance changes with time, so if' you're hesitating, get the sample version and even if you don't like it at first, leave it alone for a while and see how it smells in a few months. you may be surprised! Of note, I like using this one to lend a masculine note to an otherwise too sweet perfume, but since it's still strong, I dilute it first.

Rating: I love this light patchouli for my soap making. It doesn't discolor and the scent is great. I usually make a white Patchouli Rose soap that is a good seller! You can't find this anywhere else. Also try pairing it with orane or lavender.

Rating: Normally Patchouli gives me a headache but Patchouli Light doesn't. I love mixing it with other essential oils when I feel like I need more grounding or want to add an earthy yet not overpowering element to my overall scent.

Rating: Overall, patchouli is one of my favourite scents. Unfortunately, many people do not feel that way about patchouli. However, anytime I wear this patchouli, I get a lot of compliments, and seem to hear a lot of sniffing going on around me ! *lol*
Like with most patchoulis, a little goes along way, and when I mix it with some South African lavender, I hear even more sniffing going on around me! I've always liked hearing, 'you smell great', but lately, I've been hearing that phrase a lot more. Thanks NDA!

Rating: You know it's quite strange. As a kid I didn't like this scent. But as a soaper I reluctantly bought this after seeing so many others ranting about this. To my suprise this is quite a plesent smell and a staple in a lot of other e/o blends. My customers love this one. Especially paired with a natural honey fragrance!

Rating: This Patchouli is lovely, but it does smell very young to me. I did accomodate for this and I ordered a large quantity that I can age myself while I use the rest of my beautiful, complex and old patchouli. I am benefitting from the 'green-ness' of this oil in that I can use much more of it in my skin care applications without that overwhelming, incredibly recognizable "patchouli smell".

Rating: I wasn't sure what to expect but this is definitely a nice blend of earth and citrus. Very sophisticated. Would be a wonderful base note or diluted in a carrier oil and worn alone. Definitly not for the floral crowd!

Rating: Thank my 12.5yr old daughter recently started to break out and she hates the smell of most my oils I use patchouli all the time on my face I have been using YL's brand and found this to be more economical. I like that I have a choice of light my daughter has been using this on her skin and it is clearing up.
