Product Abstract: An evergreen shrub with numerous branches, Rosemary's bark is ash-colored and scaly with leathery, thick leaves that are lustrous and dark green with white underneath. Its tiny pale blue blossoms abound from December through spring, and it can grow to heights of close to 2 meters in height. Its name means 'dew of the sea' because Rosemary naturally grows near the Mediterranean Sea. It has been used medicinally for several thousand years, and its leaves were traditionally burned to purify the air. Rosemary was used in Roman burial rites, and that practice continued well into the middle ages when it was customary to lay branches of rosemary on the coffin at funerals.
This Variety of the Rosemary Essential Oil is the Camphor type, which is high in this component.

Rating: This is bright and refreshing and absolutely amazing! Holds well in cpsoap and is fantastic in body butters. This smells like eucalyptus but not as powerful. My customers use the whipped body butter with rosemary as a chest rub when they are sick. Excellent product!!!

Rating: This oil is very good, but agree with another reviewer that it smells a bit more like eucalyptus. I prefer the Morocco Rosemary, smells heavenly and more like fresh rosemary. Haven't tried the organic one yet, but will soon.

Rating: I regularly buy this and the Moroccan variant but my customers love this better. It has that herbaceous, camphorous aroma you'd expect and they perform nicely in soaps, room sprays, rollers and other aromatherapy products. Highly recommended.

Rating: I have not tried other rosemary EOs to compare this with but this is a pleasant smell. Like Vicks, actually. It helps me stay awake in class :)

Rating: Yum... I really love all the EO of NDA. This is a good one i use on my scalp to promote hair growth. A little goes a long way. I used too much at first time the smell very potent. 2nd time i cut it in 1/5, smell good. I cant wait to try all their EO. I dont like any of the fagrant oil. I think it s so fake. Not NDA fault. Just the FO is no comparison to EO.

Rating: This is one of those essential oils that I always keep on hand for my cold processed soaps and lotions. It is sharp and herbal and mixes great with lavender and patchouli.

Rating: This is a wonderful rosemary, very strong, does very, very well in CP soap. Doesn't morph or disappear - beautiful herbal smell. I especially LOVE it blended with either Palma Rosa or Peppermint - both give incredible (and very different) results. Fabulous oil and great deal! THank you, NDA, for carrying such amazing products at great prices!
Rating: I love the way this essential oil smells, I use it salt scrubs and facial clay. You fell the tingling sensation and the way it leaves the skin soft and smooth.
By:Rose, Saint Albans, New York Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 08-May-2013
Rating: I was very pleasantly surprised by this EO. Many other rosemary EOs have a VERY sharp, pine needle type scent that doesn't quite resemble the smell of actual rosemary. This oil is much softer and smells just like dried rosemary. This softness is probably because this EO is relatively low in 1,8-cineole aka eucalyptol. I may be wrong, but I believe that eucalyptol is a major factor in rosemary's medicinal qualities, especially relating to memory simulation and antimicrobial activity. So this is a great oil if you are looking for a lovely rosemary scent, but if you are using it therapeutically, you may want to pair this with eucalyptus oil or get the Moroccan version.

Rating: Love Rosemary, it blends with so many different oils. The best blend is with spearmint and/or peppermint and tea tree. I use it in shampoo to treat scalp issues (dryness & dandruff) works great in facial products too to combat dry, flaky skin. The scent can be a little harsh (strong) on its own, somewhat medicinal (herbal), so I always blend with oils that compliment.

Rating: About a year ago I began having horrible reactions to benzoyl peroxide and had to ditch my skin care routine. After reading an article about oils for acne, I bought this EO and added some to my rose hip oil, which I use as a moisturizer. I have been using this for about a month, and wow! My skin is clear and I love the invigorating sent!

Dropped some into my existing shampoo help stimulate circulation to the scalp. Men like this scent too- so I plan to do more with that in mixing up formulas men's toiletries as well.

Rating: I'm very sensitive to rosemary as a scent - too much and I feel nauseated. This EO is just right!
By:Breanne, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 15-Jan-2013
Rating: Bought this back in 2010 and loved it! Repeated the order this time and it is awful! This just stinks and doesn't smell at all like the same oil (I still have some left) I ordered last time. The last one was fresh and invigorating. This one almost smells rancid. I'm throwing it out since it's not worth it to ship it back. Bummed.
Rating: We tried a number of different Rosemary EO's and found most to be too strong and similar to eucalyptus. This Spanish rosemary was just perfect and mixes very well with Peppermint EO. A+
By:Scott, Whistler, British Columbia Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 09-Nov-2005
Rating: Not everyone loves the scent of Rosemary... To some, it smells very medicinal. But it kind of is. It's very therapeutic. Great for hair and skin. And great in soap when blended with other more pleasant smelling oils.
By:Steven, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 11-Dec-2011
Rating: The spanish rosemary is a fantastic scent! I had tried rosemary cp soap before and really liked it. I use this eo in a diffuser and it has a gentle scent that blankets the entire room. It has also been helpful when I have been congested since it seems to clear me almost immediately.
Rating: This oil has an earthy/citrus quality to it that mixes well with lavender oil. I put drops of it in laundry detergents and shampoos. It is not overwhelming at all and will absolutely purchase it again.
Rating: This scent isn't for everyone but I love it! My fav is blended with mint in a sugar scrub with added mint leaves!

Not that soft at the moment but I'm giving it time to breathe and think it will be wonderful added to soaps and shampoos- very refreshing! A good one to carry around and sniff when feeling tired ! Great quality!

Rating: Will be buying bigger next time. True scent. Love it in my cp soaps.
By:Kristie, Portsmouth, New Hampshire Top ReviewerDate: Loyal Customer Since: 18-Nov-2009
Rating: Very nice rosemary. It is not as sweet or green as other rosemaries that I've smelled. Instead it has more of a menthol/medicinal smell. This is not a bad thing, it just makes this EO more akin to the peppermint class of EOs rather than the green herby EOs. Also, as always exceptional price.

Rating: I accidentally spilled my Rosemary EO, I discovered cant live with out it! It has become a staple in my medicine chest. Great for mental stimulation, my mom is bedridden, I burn it in her room, she is more balanced and alert.
I make a blend for my dad with this as the mainstay for circulation in his legs, really effective!!

Rating: I have searched all over for a rosemary EO that smells like the rosemary in my garden, and I've finally found it! Many of the other rosemary EOs I've tried were too camphorous, too acrid, too piney. But this one is warm and PERFECT. I love it!
Rating: I was truly amazed with this rosemary. It is very clean, uplifting in a diffuser. It seems to open my respiratory system in a very clear but nonmedicinal way. It is not like any other rosemary . I really love this oil. And such a reasonable price.

Rating: Such a valuable oil to have on hand! Loved every use of it, in massage, diffused, or simply sniffed. Thanks again for another great deal on such a quality product!
Rating: I can't attest to Rosemary's effect on mature skin or varicos veins, but everything else mentioned in the NDA description of this oil is true. Potential buyers should also know that this is a fantastic expectorant, and does seem to have a variety of of anti-viral/anti-microbial benefits. It's an excellent oil to "cleanse the air" in a room, especially during flu season. A bit of rosemary, tea tree, eucalyptus, cedarwood or other anti-virals used in a humidifier will help keep the chest clear of infections and clear stuffy noses. Cosmetically, several drops of rosemary oil added to any hair treatment will help cleanse the hair and stimulate the scalp, giving hair more shine and "bounce". NOTE: This oil also seems to have some value as an anti-parasitic.
